To be more specific: I prefer my family's version of the mole (ours is spicier and the chicken is sauteed in it for at least 1/2 of the day...and I was served a chicken mole that had the mole as a sauce to top it at San Angel Inn, maybe an off day for the chef??). We put meat, cheese, and veggies in the chile relleno (and I think that there were just veggies in the one we were served), and other such minimal differences that are the reason why I just prefer to eat elsewhere. The tacos al pastor were just ok as I am not a fan of the pina on my tacos, and I am not a fan of their version of Mexican rice. Our family eats chilaquiles for breakfast, so I did not order it for dinner...plus I am so not a fan any tortilla chip that is not fresh, even Tostitos. The fish tacos that my dad ordered looked delicious, but were served on flour tortillas. Along the Pacific Coast, fish tacos are huge, but I have always eaten them on corn tortillas...a subtle taste preference. That is what I meant by it's OK Mexican food, and I am probably just TOO picky.
