DH and I are really looking forward to trying San Angel for TS. DD (9) is an incredibly picky eater. Normally when we go for Mexican, she gets a hard-shell taco, with lettuce and cheese only (no meat). The shredded cheese cannot be melted or she won't eat it. :confused3 On a good day, she'll cooperate and suffer through a soft tortilla if hard-shell is not an option. I see on their menu that they chicken quesadillas. Thankfully, she'll eat chicken. Do you think it'll be a huge problem if I ask them to NOT put it all together as a cooked quesadilla? Like if they just bring out the tortilla, a little bowl of shredded (non-melted) cheese and the diced cooked chicken? That way she can put it together with our without the chicken and we know the cheese won't be melted. Even better, maybe they'd give her some (crunchy) tortilla chips instead of the soft tortilla?

Maybe we'll get lucky and she'll go with the chicken strips. But knowing dd, she loves her modified tacos and really looks forward to them whenever we go out for Mexican.

Well they have done some special things for my daughter over the years. My dd isn't picky but Mexican is her weakest link, she hates overly spicy food and is always worried she'll take a bite of Mexican food and have it be spicy. Just ask away, WDW restaurants love to please in almost all cases. Your biggest problem might be a language barrier. The servers are from the actual countries in the World Showcase. It can't hurt to ask. Just tell your daughter you will do your best, its a fun place, have her look for the hidden Mickey in the volcano smoke and if can't be done, you can always buy her somthing else in America!

can i ask if will be in MK, can i eat dinner here without a parkhopper pass?
:confused3

One thing I have learned over the years...

If you're paying the money, dont be afraid to ask!

Its your vacation and you're paying for it...Disney will be more than happy to try their best at making you happy!

Great idea about looking for the hidden Mickey! And about having her eat somewhere else. But yes, I will definitely ask. I can't hurt. All they can do is say no. Thanks!
