DH and I are really looking forward to trying San Angel for TS. DD (9) is an incredibly picky eater. Normally when we go for Mexican, she gets a hard-shell taco, with lettuce and cheese only (no meat). The shredded cheese cannot be melted or she won't eat it.
On a good day, she'll cooperate and suffer through a soft tortilla if hard-shell is not an option. I see on their menu that they chicken quesadillas. Thankfully, she'll eat chicken. Do you think it'll be a huge problem if I ask them to NOT put it all together as a cooked quesadilla? Like if they just bring out the tortilla, a little bowl of shredded (non-melted) cheese and the diced cooked chicken? That way she can put it together with our without the chicken and we know the cheese won't be melted. Even better, maybe they'd give her some (crunchy) tortilla chips instead of the soft tortilla?
Maybe we'll get lucky and she'll go with the chicken strips. But knowing dd, she loves her modified tacos and really looks forward to them whenever we go out for Mexican.
