We are in the market for a new couch/chair and a new mattress and bdrm set. My parents just got a really cute couch and oversized chair and ottoman set at Sams Club for $900. They have only had it for a couple of months, but it seems to be holding up well, and again..its really cute.

Anyone buy furniture from them before..how does it hold up? Is it worth the savings??

We bought a couch/loveseat/chair/ottoman set back in 2004. I love it! It's held up well even with 3 kids bouncing off of it. Is it top quality? No, but it looks good and seems to be durable.

Thats great to know! Thank you for replying. I am so inlove with this furniture set! Have you looked at their TV's. Any suggestions? We are moving, and i kind of want to leave the old behind and start fresh. =)

We bought a kitchen table and chairs 11 years ago from Sam's that held up for raising two VERY rambunctious kids!! We just sold it last month - and only because it didn't match the rest of our new furniture. We paid $800 for the table and 6 chairs and sold it for $100. I think that wasn't too bad for 11 years of use!

I bought a fabric couch, love seat, chair and ottoman from Sam's in 2004 and it has held up pretty well. I'm noticing that the foam cushions are not quite as firm as they used to be but the set still looks nice. I was figuring it would be "throwaway" furniture but it has really held up, even with my son and his friends jumping all over it. I'd buy it again.

What is more important is the brand it is, at least if Sam's is the same as Costco. Costco doesn't sell Costco furniture. When they have pieces they are the same brands you would find in a furniture store. Research the specific model you are interested in. See what other stores might carry it, compare prices, look at the warranty. Then decide if it fits your needs and budget.

I second this advice! I was looking at our local Sams and came across really cute sofa, love seat, chair, & small ottoman for around 1,100 and it's manufactured by Lane. Lane is a well know manufacture. I think 1,100 is a great price on Lane furniture IMO. Good Luck!

We got our mattress and box spring at Sam's and it is awesome for the price. It's the cashmere pillow top one.

We often buy furniture from Sam's.

We have a really great Futon that is at least 7 years old (Sealy mattress)

and I purchased our kitchen chairs at Sam's and we just donated our Kitchen set after purchasing a new bar height set with 8 chairstools at Sams for $600.

I did see a similar set at Costco (Im members at both), for the same price, but it was definitely not the same quality. The Sam's set has legs that are about 10" around and very sturdy. The Costco set was kind of shaky when I sat at it in the store.

We have also purchased several televisions from Sams and a laptop. Been members over 12 years.:thumbsup2

We haven't bought furniture, but have bought box springs and mattress and I have to say I was too thrilled with them. They just seemed to sink and flatten after a few years. The furniture looks great though.

I did get my rolltop desk there about 5years ago and it's holding up really well. :)

We bought a recliner love seat from Sam's that was a Berkline brand. About 2 months into ownership, a bolt holding the metal support together broke when a guest was sitting with the leg support extended. We jimmied it back into place (looked like the bolt used had a manufacturing defect) but it would slip out when someone heavier extended it again. I really love the love seat - it is super comfy, has really soft leather and was a great price. I understand that sometimes, minor issues get through the manufacturing process. I was disappointed because I thought I was going to have to return the sofa to Sam's and not be able to get a replacement due to their being sold out of a "seasonal" item. I was VERY happy with Berkline's customer service, however. They sent a repair man out to our place to look at the sofa and he was able to repair it right then! And it was at no charge. I would absolutely buy Berkline furniture again and be extremely happy with the low price if I was lucky enough to get it from Sam's Club.

I was just in there the other day and they have some nice furniture! I love the sectional with the storage ottomons. I bought a mattress from there about 10 years ago that I gave to my sister a couple of years ago and it was still in excellent condition when she gave it away!

I know this thread is quite old, but it came up in a Google search. My husband and I are in the market for some new livin room furniture and saw a great price on a Lane set from Sam's Club. Does anybody know if it is the same quality as found in other furniture stores? Any comments?

My dh bought me a recliner for mother's day when I was pregnant for ds. It will be 5 years old next month. It is in perfect shape. The sofa we bought from a furniture store 3 years ago looks older than my recliner.
