Same MDE but different credit cards

My cousins are on my MDE account in friends and family. I've previously been able to book our 4 fast passes together. In Dec we will go and stay over at a resort. They are staying on my MDE account tho she will book their room with her credit card. My question is charging privileges ....will theirs and magic band charging be on their own cc? Or because they're linked in my MDE account it links to mine? I think they will ask her when she books if she wants charging to that card-so will it be like that then every time?

You can set it up when you check in just give both cc'd's and designate which guests charge to which card. I would suggest that you stop back the next day to be sure it was done properly! We have done this many times and it is usually fine but a couple times it took a few trips to the front desk to get it done properly. Note that even if it doesn't work out you can see which guest charged what so you could just settle it yourselves if necessary.

I would strongly suggest having them make their own MDE account and then linking them with yours. It will share all your details together, your photos, fastpasses.. you really loose no control over the vacation but they gain the ability of having a login for hte mde app on their phones, having control when your not doing the parks or spending time together.. It also lets them have their own credit card and pin for meal plan and room expenses.. it's just like having them in your own account but with more options to make life easier for everyone. I also recommend this for teens in the family that have their own smart phones so they can get their own login for mde app.

It's easy to setup, look under your friends and family section and ther eis a little icon near their name to click on. it'll ask for an email address and then email them to set up their own mde account or invite them to link if they already have one (disney store account is actually mde so they might have one and not know it).

As mentioned the front desk can do this as well but all they do is make fake mde accounts and link them together for you so it's the same thign with less options for them.

ok that sounds pretty good. Didn't know you could link actual accounts together. I guess even if they had their own I could link and then do everything. I'm the planner of the bunch

I too am the planner for my bunch of nine. I called WDW yesterday to ask about charging privileges for each Magic Band. I was told that when we get to the hotel - check at the front desk and they will link each MB to whichever credit card you choose. Every MB can be linked to a different credit card if that is what you desire. Since we are almost all adults - we each will have our own CC attached to our magic band. Having everyone make their own MDE is great but not everyone in my party is "smartphone savvy" and wouldn't know how to use it anyway!

If you have already booked things they you can send an email through your account to make their own (under their name is should say Invite them to join MDE or something similar) and then the account you manage just becomes their own and is already linked.

Even if an adult has their own account you can still plan everything including FP and Hotels as long as they are linked to you as a friend/family member.
