For anyone who's had it, how was it? Did the salted caramel flavor come through? I'd be disappointed if it's just apple flavor. The other choice I have is the dark chocolate waffle, and although I love chocolate, I'm not crazy about the idea of it for breakfast. But the idea of salted caramel-apple sounds yummy. Is it?

I had the dark chocolate waffles this past week - it was really good, but a little much for breakfast. There were 3 mini waffles and I only ate 2 before I was done with it.

I was torn between the waffles and the french toast, got the waffles and OMG so happy I did. They were exceptional!

touristblog has a great review of breakfast there and these 2 options. I dont know how I can choose!

Thanks for pointing me to that-I hadn't read it. The salted caramel French Toast looks good!

We visited recently for the first time, our party got the waffles and the French toast. The waffles were, in my opinion, the far and away winner. The French toast wasn't bad, but it definitely didn't blow me away.

We have had both. I loved the chocolate/cherry waffles, but that is probably my favorite combo for sweet stuff. Love a good black forest cake. My husband had the french toast, since I had to get the waffles. I thought they were good. I do think there was more of an apple flavor than caramel, but I definitely remember the caramel. Maybe more like a caramel apple, since those have a thin layer of caramel. I don't really remember the salted part, but I think the apples were sauteed in butter, which provided some saltiness. If they didn't have the chocolate/cherry waffles, I would get the french toast again. Gosh those waffles were so good though!!!!

then there's also the blueberry bacon pancakes to choose from too...we're "waffling" between the three choices for our trip next month...

I found the bacon pieces to be huge, almost more like pork belly, and chewy. My favorite is the waffles, and husband's fav is the french toast. The french toast is VERY sweet.

hmm...good to know about the bacon pieces, not sure I'd like chewy in my pancakes...

That gives me pause to reconsider. Although I have a sweet tooth at other times, I'm not crazy about an overly sweet breakfast. I thought the waffles would be the overly sweet one. Maybe I'll get the waffles after all. Of course, perhaps the best option would be for me to go twice and have a different choice each time, chocolate waffles once and the apple french toast the other, purely for scientific research of course. But so far, I've just got reservations for one breakfast. What to do?

I personally love the blueberry bacon pancakes and found the bacon to be chewy, but in a good way. I strongly prefer bacon crispy when eating it by itself, but the softness of the bacon plays well in the pancakes and cuts the sweetness of the blueberries. Definitely looking forward to ordering them again next month when we are down there!

Haha I am in the same dilema..but waffles or crab cake benedict! Sadly I can only squeeze in 1 breakfast here unless I give up early park time.I need someone to join me so we can split!

Reporting back. My DH got the salted caramel apple french toast and loved it! He was amazed at how light and fluffy the french toast was. I got the blueberry bacon pancakes and did find the chewy bacon off-putting. Some pieces were okay but others just far too chewy. The french toast was definitely the better option in our opinion.
