I will answer Ann's question about Laura's sig... NPH = Neil Patrick Harris at Candlelight Processional! We saw Whoopi Goldberg together two years ago. I wish I was going along for this one too!

I recall getting emotional with the whole spectacle...relieved Tori had Ava...and Laura and JD messing with their camera!

Yes, you got a decent rate. AKL isn't quite as generous with their discounts as they used to be, but the AP rate is usually better than a general discount. We were there in late July/early August. I started out with AAA discount, switched to a general code when that became available, and finally when AP rates came out, I got another 5% off!!

The offerings: breakfast is truly a meal in the Lounge. They have oatmeal and quinoa, danish, pastries, bagels, toast, fruit (watermelon, cantaloupe, honey dew, pineapple, strawberries, blueberries), cold cereals, yogurt, juices, milk, coffee, tea.

During the day, there are various times when snacks (cookies, goldfish, pretzels, chips, etc.) will be out but there is no "lunch".

At 5pm, they put out 2 hors d'oeuvres from Boma or Jiko, plus breads & hummus, cheeses, and a small veggie offering (carrots, olives, red peppers - things like that). Oh, and beer & wine!! Some guests make a complete meal out of the offerings -- it's really intended as appetizers.

At 8pm, the desserts arrive! They no longer offer Zebra Domes, but there are always some wonderful desserts from Boma - and one night during our last stay they brought out the chocolate covered strawberries!!! The cordials are out then, but you can also still get beer or wine.

Angel16 a lot of time when I go to DW I do a combination of onsite and offsite. Since I am retired and come from CA I usually stay for 3 or 4 weeks. It sounds like you'll be staying in a timeshare. There are some wonderful ones in the Orlando area that I have traded into. You may want to hop over to the Orlando hotel board and ask questions there .... lots of helpful people.

My Oct/Nov trip I'm staying onsite the whole time but in Jan/Feb I'll be moving around a lot with only one week onsite. Staying at Sheraton Vistana, Mystic Dunes (concerned about that one) and Wyndom Bonnet Creek. In the past I've stayed at two Marriott timeshares and Sheraton Vistana Village so if you happen to be staying at any of these I'll answer any questions I can.

No matter where you stay you will have a wonderful time as you are with your family!

I know the recipe is floating around on this thread somewhere. The center is mousse-like with a touch of Amaretto (or something similar!)

Here's a picture of an "inside"!!! The ones at The Mara are in the refrigerator case (that's these) and it's really best to let them get near room temperature for that melt-in-your-mouth quality! The ones at The Boma are melt-in-your-mouth ready!!

Do you stay Concierge a lot!? I just love how everything looks so exotic. I saw pictures of the BWI, and Beach Club CL lounges and they look like a typical Hampton Inn, in my opinion, but this place looks AMAZING!

I understand that CL is on the 4th floor and the lounge is on the 6th floor is that right? Is the lounge far away.

Also, how do you check in? Shall we tell the front desk or does the IPO email us?

You're very welcome Michele! Yes, the CL resort rooms are on the 4th floor, the lounge is on the 6th - but it isn't too long a walk (or maybe I'm just used to it!!). The CL rooms tend to be in the pods closest to the lobby.

While I can't say I stay there often by some people's standards, I would probably be considered a "regular" visitor!!

For check-in, tell Bell Services you are checking in for Club Level. One of the bell-persons will take you upstairs to the Lounge. No need to stop at the front desk!

LOTS of rain, but, at least we still have power, there are a lot without it - the rain has actually slowed down a lot - we've even had a few spots where it's stopped - but not for long. It's an awfully soggy weekend for us, but, were fine!!! Getting ready for our LSU tigers first game tonight - GEAUX TIGERS!!!!

By tomorrow evening we are to get heavy rains for the next week. The remnants of Lee, the storm system that is now in the mid-west as well as some little disturbance that passed us briefly yesterday are going to get together and have a party right over top of us. Tori is loving college! I'm glad her card made it to you. She loved meeting you (as did JD & I!! ) and she adores the lovely necklace.
