She has had a rough summer. But she did stop in and harass us... I mean delight us with her banter... a few days ago.

Warning.... this has NOTHING to do with AKL/AKV...

I have to post something before I explode... it will seem odd, but bear with me.

Bob burped today.

I told you it would seem odd. However, here is why I am excited: in order for a person to belch, the Upper Esophageal Sphincter (UES)has to open. The noise you hear is the vibration of that sphincter as air passes through it. The reason Bob cannot eat is that the UES is closed all the time. Or, it was.

Woo hoo to burping! Great progress!

I have absolutely awesome news. The doctor's office called this afternoon. EVERYTHING IS CLEAR!

We are hoping the system comes our way -- Georgia is now in "extreme" drought - here we go again. Right now weather forecast says we could get some of the rain Monday or Tuesday, but it is going to drench the gulf coast and be slow moving. Stay safe.

Hey all

I havent been here in almost a week, so I have no idea whats going on in everyone's life...Hope you are all well
We're fine, I've been working a lot...Scott increased his hours at HD, so we're adjusting to a new routine.
I can't wait for this vacation...I need it so bad!
I think IPO said I'd hear from them 1 more time at 45 days

WE are back from our WONDERFUL vacation !!!!
We had booked a "standard" room - but got a FREE upgrade to the main savannah !!!!!
We were in the second building to the right
looking from Arusha Rock : WOW !!!!
No need to say WE WERE DELIGHTED !!! From that on , our days were better and better !!! So MANY wonderful memories !!!

We even got to meet Laura , her DH and Tory , who is such a lovely young lady !! Marco and I SO ENJOYED their company ... and the ZEBRA DOME we tasted together !!!

We are now back to ... normal life , but we truly have to be gratefull : the whole vacation was a blast , we left Florida before the hurrycane and NYC ... after the earth quake !!! At home , we found our old parents in good health , we really feel blessed !!!

Since August is now a memory, I thought I'd post Brandi's list again.

snykymom - I have changed your resort to SSR. Like Diana said - we hope you won't leave us just because you changed resorts. You still belong!

Don't leave!!!!!!! We are at SSR this trip too and I am STILL here (without a Jambo tag I might as well mention yet again)

At least you will still be in Disney! SSR is a wonderful resort with beautiful grounds and many amenities.

SSR is very relaxing I hope you both enjoy it....what a celebration it will be...Elin and Bob in Disney Cant wait to see you both..tears of joy after the year you both have had

Awww, thanks, folks! After all that, how could I leave?

And it's nice to hear good things about SSR. It's one resort that really hasn't been on my radar - since I've been to Saratoga, the theming didn't appeal, and the area doesn't either. But relaxing is what I'm looking for, particularly for DH who doesn't like the hustle & bustle of Disney.

To me it's my last holiday - weekend : on Monday we teachers have to be back in service : planning - arguing - BORING ... !!!
My new pupils will be at school only on September 12 or 13 ( principal hasn't decided yet !) and only then ... I'll be happy !!! Fun and sweet they are !!! and we always have such a great time together !!!
This year the new group is small : only 16 kids !!

Off to enjoy my last FREE hours with some jogging and a well deserved Italian ice-cream !!! laura

I have to go back to teaching on Tuesday so this is my last "free" weekend too. Let's enjoy it while we can (although I am envious of your small group size). This year I am starting out with 18 classes (112 students) and 20 private students. I am going to need that vacation in October!
