My husband thinks we should save some money and stay somewhere else, but this is the ONLY time we will be able to go to Disney for at least 5 years...we have NEVER been!! (Dh has,when he was little) we LOVE LOVE animals and I am sooo stoked...is it worth the extra money to get bunk beds?? my kids really want them.

If it will make the kids happy, I say it is worth the extra cost! Rooms at AKL are on the small side so when you have a Queen plus the bunk beds, the room has more floor space and feels a bit roomier!

Hi Sharyn! I was just watching the news and there's lots of flooding Wendy's way. Here in ATL we're expecting anywhere from 3-7" from Lee (which we can handle and desperately need) - expected to start tomorrow morning.

Good Afternoon (here) Good Evening for many Jamborini's and Kidanites

Thinking of all who are in this storms way. Stay safe and dry if possible.

I talked to a friend in North Carolina last night. Many STILL don't have power from Irene. Very sad, hope this storm weekens before it hits those who have already been impacted by Irene.

Busy day today, big BBQ to attend which I am helping make the food for. Hope everyone has a Safe Labor Day.

I think it's worth it, DS LOVED them before we bought DVC - I think if the kiddos are happy then mom and dad are happy!!! Hope you do stay, you'll LOVE it!!!

Hey, as for the "dry" part................. NOPE!!! LOL AND, we were SO happy last night and so proud of Jarrett - he did a GREAT job - I hope he can do this ALL season and we make it to the DOME!!!!

Hey Laura and Sharyn - yeah, were getting SO much rain and flooding, WE are OK, the power has been on for awhile now, so I'm happy about that - I was worried earlier - we are OK - Thank You my dear sweet friends for thinking of me!!! Just back from AKL club level. Had the bunk beds and they were uncomfortable, very hard, but my niece had no trouble sleeping on it.

We will probably not be back to AKL. We saw very few animals, our shampoo, conditioner, lotion were never restocked, we had to call down to housekeeping to have some brought up and we had to wait for 20 minutes for that.

The resort is beautiful and glad we stayed there but will try somewhere else next time. Still searching for our home resort.

The offerings were good, bagels and such for breakfast. We dont drink so we didnt try any of the wines and beer, they had spiced nuts, trail mix, apple slices. No special service received other than the lounge. Would not stay club level here again, just not worth the extra money to me.

We are familiar with AKL as we have stayed there 2x, once in 2009 in a bunk bed pool view room, and 2010 in a 2 queen pool view room also. Thanks in advance to anyone that helps

You might have more luck on the DVC board, but I'll try to help. All the Jambo DVC rooms are on the 5th floor. Yes, there are Club Level DVC studios - located on the 6th floor - but there are very few (5 I believe) and those usually book up 11 months in advance.

The smallest Jambo Studio is a "Value" -- these are also few in number too and book quickly. (this is mostly the Jambo studio I book and I've had pool view and Sunset Savanna view rooms.)

"Standard" view studios and "Savanna" view studios are also available at Jambo. The Standard view studio I had (5406) was overlooking the lobby and had a pool view.
