Good morning, Jamborinis!
Bob had his appointment with the ENT this morning. It was informative but did not have the outcome he was hoping for. The doctor was able to tell which cranial nerves are affected and that the left vocal cord is indeed paralyzed. He assured Bob that it is still early in his recovery (I could feel Bob's eyes roll!) and that he is hoping to be able to have his voice restored more closely to normal and get him eating "something" again, but that it will take time. There is a procedure that can be done called medialization where the vocal cord is either plumped with an injection of Gore-Tex or Teflon (I kid you not) or is surgically enhanced with a support. The doctor wants to let the recovery process continue for another three months and then revisit the progress. Our next appointment is on August 4. It is a lifetime away for Bob.

CIAO !!! It has been some time since I could visit here !!
( Much is going on with my parents and dear MIL ; besides I broke my ankle during a field trip with my older pupils ... 2 weeks without walking !!! 2 more with a new air cast ... now I'm doing some rehab ....................................
ANDI can SLOWLY walk again !!!)
I was glad to have news about Bob , though I can see how he is "tired" and would like to have a better recovery soon !!!! It surely isn't nice when the doc says : It will take time ...
My thoughts and prayers will continue ; I'll also ask my young pupils to ... speed up the last stars needed to complete the whole "heart for Bob " !
WE will also say a special prayerfor you , Elin , and family ; it must be so hard and worrying for you all !!
to all jamborinis ; hope that Spring time will bring each of you beautiful days !!!!

We will be staying at AKL club levelfor the first time 12/13/11- 12/20/11. We have been to WDW 8 times so far, usually we stay at POP, 1 time at POR. I love POP, but am sooo excited to be staying at AKL!!! Do all club level rooms have a savannah view? I've heard yes & no on this, so I thought I'd ask the EXPERTS!! We are taking my 2 yr. old grandson, this will be his first visit. Did I mention how excited I am??!!!

Hey guys!!!
I'm staying at AKL for the first time in Sept and then again in December (19-22) and I'm so excited.
For our Dec trip, we got Club level. Does anyone have pictures? I read somewhere that most club levels were on 4th floor but lounge is on 6, is that right? And also, are Club rooms "savannah view" rooms?
It will be me, dh, and ds(2).
Thanks guys!

I have stayed CL twice but in the DVC rooms so I am not sure if there are any difference between the CL rooms, I have pictures in my trip report below.... Our CL rooms are always on the 6th floor, but again that is DVC
Brandi: The CL rooms (non-DVC) are just like the regular resort rooms. Most have 2 queens. The DVC Villa Studios have a little kitchen area and only one bed (plus the sofa bed).
So, I stayed DVC CL and had the kitchen and one bed plus the sofa bed.. I have stayed in 4 different rooms and they were all configured that way. So thanks for the clarification, I love learning new things![]()
