Morning Jamborini's - THANK YOU ALL so much for the kind words and support - it means a lot!!! I get the first shot on Thurs. - I sure hope it works!!! It'll make travelling to the wedding SO much easier!

Beauty was the name she had been given...We decided it was the perfect name for her, so we kept it

I finally got to talk to my brother. He has no power and no battery left in his cell phone. plus no car charger...

He is ok and his home is ok, minor shingle damage but easy to fix.

So my family is all healthy and safe, I feel very blessed.

Hopefully power will be returned soon, but for now they are all ok and dealing with life as it comes. They have shelf stable food and life is returning around the city so I am hopeful that things will get better soon.

I update as I can.

We booked our first stay at AKL for May 30th thru the 1st of June. Its a split stay but I'm sure it will be well worth it!

You know...the best laid plans:

So, we had gotten clearance to go wheels up today at 3 PM, landing at Maxwell AFB. That was finalized yesterday at about noon.

Until about 8:45 last night, that is. We were advised (and, now, it's obvious WHY) that, due to increased security restrictions, we would not have authorization to land at Maxwell for at least the next week.

We're going to be sending stuff overland, now, and (to their credit) the Air Force (with some help from the Army, I think) is coordinating logistics for us. We'll (and I'm actually going to help) have to show up in Groton this afternoon to load a tractor trailer with supplies.

Other than that, all we know is it will arrive in Alabama sometime on Thursday.

But, because of all that (though by the sounds of things it wasn't needed anyway), we can only load "authorized" cargo.....so I won't be able to help out getting other supplies to any of the Jamborini extended family members.

I've never seen movies by the pool at AKL/AKV either. I thought wcw57 was inquiring about the movies that you rent for your (DCV) room. :

They do have movies by the pool. I have no idea how often or where a schedule may be but last Thursday night they had Snow White playing by the pool starting at 8 pm.

I'm so excited! I do love SSR, but with so much of our plans @ Epcot, it just makes sense...I can't believe w/ 5 & 1/2 months to go, @ F & W Fest time, we got it

Brandi, Can't believe it will be a year soon since we were there for Food and Wine. I so wish we could have met up. It certainly was an interesting trip for DD, DSIL & DH and me. Next trip it will just be DH and me!

Happy evening to you too and don't hesitate to waitlist for October!! All the Epcot availability is probably gone now, but something usually opens up at BWV or BCV. Never hurts to try!
