Safe to assume slide completed at OKW next April?

Next plan to work on is an OKW trip, then SSR. (We've already tried BCV, VWL & BWV.) I wanted to wait on a SSR trip until it is more completed. But, do you think I'm safe to assume the OKW slide will be completed come next early April? (Another post on another one of my threads made me worry!)

I would hate to give up what I got, switch to OKW and the slide not be done. I'm booking for a busy time (spring break, week after Easter), too so I don't know how easy it would be to switch again.

Good pool with a slide is important to us. We spend alot of pool time on our trips.

I did email MS and was told September to start and an estimated completion date by late January, maybe end of year if early.

Would you book OKW and feel safe in knowing the slide will be done or just go ahead with SSR instead? I wasn't crazy about all the construction when we toured a few weeks ago, although I know more of it will be built by then.

Thoughts?

However, if you'd like to know what my opinion would be, here goes:
It would be crazy for WDW planners not to have the pool slide completed by April. Easter is in March this year, and so is spring break for too many people to count...so if they don't have the slide completed by the time peak occupancies hit, they run the risk of LOTS of VERY unhappy Mouseketeers. If I were a betting woman - which I'm not..- it will be done by Christmas...

Long post made short...yep, it'll be done.

They have a good track record and control the schedule and contractors, so my bet is count on it.

Since Disney is saying that the main pool will be "closed until the end of the year", I think they are leaving the date open to allow for some flexibility. If you said you were going in December, I would say, I'm not sure but by April things should be up and going.
