In the before you go - things to do section of the Navigator it says to "register with Safe Passage for cruises leaving from the US"
The Alaska cruise leaves from Canada.
Am I missing something?

Still have to do Safe Passage but also have to do ArriveCan which allows entry into Canada. Safe Passage allows cruising with DCL but not getting into Canada.

I just filled out our Safe Passage info for the first Alaskan sailing. We shall see if they like the documents (I’m sure it’s fine) but it recognized the cruise confirmation number right away.

I am on the same sailing. Yep, filled out Safe Passage, will be able to order the US entry COVID test on Wednesday and still have around a week and a half for ArrivCan. I am super tankful for YouTube videos on how to do that. In the mean time, I get nervous over every little sniffile, cough or scratchy throat that I feel.

We're Canadian. Strange wording "ships leaving from US ports". Not going till July. DCL testing will be over by then🤪 we hope. We don't have to do anything to return to Canada. Just be vaxxed.

We are Canadian so only have 2 more hurdles, testing the 2yo on Friday the 13th (what could possibly go wrong?!?) and then embarkation day testing for all 8 of us

I am not sure if it is fun or nerve rattling counting down each hurdle for this cruise. But it will all be worth it once I am on the ship.

Right? Hurdle 1: get cruising going in Canada ✅
Hurdle 2: get the Wonder through the Panama Canal ✅
Hurdle 3: keep everyone healthy ✅
Hurdle 4: get checked in ✅
Hurdle 5: Safe Passage documents ✅
Hurdle 6: unvaccinated testing 🟨
Hurdle 7: embarkation testing 🟨
Hurdle 8: enjoy cruise 🟨

We're also CDN sailing on the Wonder end of July. Would love for the testing to be gone by then but who knows....doubtful I bet :( My entire family is also just getting over Covid right now. Technically within the 90 day recovery but since you can't get a PCR test here in BC unless you are work in health care or live in LTC I have no idea how to go about the recovery letter so I guess we will just test at the port. Thank god they at least switched to antigen.

I paid for a private PCR ($150!) for my 2 year old after 10 days of symptoms but negative home tests to see if he would get a positive PCR and qualify for a 90 recovered letter as AB is the same for PCR testing. He was negative so I have to hope he stays negative through 2 more weeks of daycare

Awww.....

And ouch....I was thinking around $150....I'm not paying that times 4 lol

$150 is so crazy expensive…

PCR tests are free where I live (and I can't promise I won't try to get myself tested just in case, if that helps waive DCL embarkation testing)

We had free testing and then through the omicron wave to "conserve tests" they went to only testing healthcare workers and immunocompromised people and never returned to full testing after that.
