We are going to be there Jan 30th thru Feb 8th. Do you know your schedule yet as to where you are going to be if your working??? thanks would love to say HI if we see ya. :)

Sorry, I've been so busy with work and school that I haven't posted my schedule as I planned to. I only work Saturdays and Sundays, and I usually open and leave around mid-afternoon. I now work on Main Street, USA as a Park Greeter, which means that I am generally out front (either at a turnstile or near the monorail or ferry boat ramps. Sometimes I do parade crowd control. Feel free to say hi.
I will try to post if/when I get to work an odd shift at Jungle Cruise or Haunted Mansion, but that doesn't happen very often.

Hope to see you on Saturday the 1st if you are there--will try to look for ya--but ya know-=3000 people and just one safari steve--they should clone ya ;) Maybe I'll get a bull horn and call out SAFARI STEVE!!! Good luck with school and hope to see ya in a couple weeks. Mogs  PS: I'll be the one with the god-ugly huge camafloug fanny pack-hey beats lugging a back pack.

Steve,
I know this is a longshot, but do you know a guy named Adam Jackman that works at the MK? He's worked for Disney for several years now. I think he started out at AK when they first opened up, but I know that last year I saw him as one of the train engineers?? (he was on Main Street doing something with the WDW railroad- he was dressed in "conductor's blues", or whatever you call them). He's an old friend of mine, and that would just be too cool if you know him! He's got red hair, used to have lots of piercings (still might), and should be about 27 years old. :)

Okay, see you Sunday morning the 26th, Steve! I'll be the one wearing the MK jacket and lime green ribbon or disboards button with lime green ribbon on it. You can't miss me.

HAHAHA

Hey Steve! I'll be there the morning of the 26th too! I'll be right at rope drop with my dd. I won't have any green ribbon on, but I'll look for you! :) I was hoping to see you on the JC or at the HM. Oh well, maybe we'll get lucky and spot you at the gate...

(are you even working on the 26th? lol)

Yes, I will be at the entry plaza on the 26th (my shift starts at 6:15.... blech... that means I have to wake up around 4)

I still don't know what "rope drop" means- but I'll be there.

They ARE still having the extra magic hour that day at MK, right?!?

MK opens at 9am, this means that the attractions start running at 9am. The turnstiles open around 8:30 and guests are held in the area in front of the train station. The "Official Opening Ceremony" starts around 8:45 and lasts about 10 minutes. At the end of the ceremony, the ropes are taken down and guests are allowed to move into Town Sq and Main St. (usually around 8:55 or so). right around 9am (sometimes a couple of minutes earlier), the ropes blocking the entrances to all of the lands are removed, hence the term "Rope Drop".

Extra Magic Hour takes place at MK every Sunday and Thursday morning. Resort guests are allowed into Tomorrowland and Fantasyland starting at 8am.
