I am sad... my hubby just sent me a message. Our Test Track Mickey antenna topper was stolen sometime between yesterday and this morning!

I just had to vent!

First they take my Demonic Jack in the Box <<yes from the restaurant... lol I had painted it extra specially evil so it stuck out>> and now this!

Sorry about your topper.

When we had cars with antennas DH would never let me have a topper. He said it creates too much tension on the antenna from wind drag and will make the antenna break off.

The past couple of cars I have had don't have antennas.

Sorry about your loss. You should put one of those exploding ink packs that they use in bank bags into one that way the next person who tries to steal it will get a little surprise.

We have one of those short thick antennaes. We had to cut an x in the topper to get it to fit.

It's a rainbow Mickey. No one has taken it yet.

Same with our second car, although that's the old style antennae, no one has stolen the rainbow Mickey (or any other one we put up seasonally).

I'd not be pleased at all if that happened!

I got a pink princess one for DP for the Caravan. We drive in all kinds of weather up here and this winter had no problem and she doesn't exactly drive slowly on 95 coming back up from WDW.

We were taking bets as to when it would disappear, but so far so good.

never had any disappear. But I don't mind when I usually pick them up for a quarter. makes the loss a little less annoying.

Hahah I told my hubby about the dye comment and he liked that idea.... I told him 1 year and 4 months and change from now he can get another Test Track Mickey head --- he just looked at me with annoyance. I am not certain if it was the fact he needs to buy another one or that the trip is so far away

My Walt Disney World Sorcerer Mickey antenna ball got stolen too, and I was so upset! Guess where it happened of all places? The Disneyland parking structure!

I get it that we're all Disney fans, but it really ticks me off that anyone thinks that it's even remotely ok to just take something because you like it. I know that it may seem insignificant, since it's only an antenna ball, but it was cute and I like it, and it gave my car character

I always put Superglue Gel in the topper before putting it on my antenna. Haven't had a problem yet and it goes through the car wash without getting knocked off too.

It's especially fun to be walking back to the car and see someone try to grab the topper off and when it doesn't pull right off they look very confused.

We had our Stitch magnet stolen off our car also.

An alternative display method I have seen: Take a 1 by and either pound several long nails all the way through, or drill holes and thread through long bolts, secured with a nut on the other side. Now impale a topper on each spike and place on the rear dash. It can look a little gruesome if you have several heads displayed thus, but it does protect them.

I've had two plain mickey heads, the reindeer christmas one and the WDW sorcerer one stolen from my car. I haven't put my princess one, 50th anniversary of disneyland or my year of dreams one out just in case they go too - and my rainbow one is fading as I speak. I get so angry that people just take them ... but now I'm tempted by the superglue idea ... am about to change my car so will wait til I do then glue a topper on!!

I hate it when this happens! really go and buy your own! we have even had our mickey tail hitch broken off... at the weld!
now we usually put our antenna toppers on our home wireless phones.
