I just heard on the newson I-4 W a oil tanker collided with a car and 2 peope are dead the truck driver escaped, right near Orlando. My prayers are with everyone right now

Where was GOD????? . It doesn't sound as if THIS tragedy was a result of "Free Will". I guess that GOD was taking a siesta ......

Uh, EROS, not sure what God has to do with the situation, bad things can happen and there can still be a God...the two are not mutually exclusive.

I'm sorry to hear of this accident, I-4 is a mess these days and it's very sad for the families.

I guess that you're right, Michelle . When people are saved from near-certain death, we say that GOD intervened with a MIRACLE. When others in the same situation are killed instantly, we just throw up our hands and say "XXXX Happens" . How convenient for GOD

A shame indeed, my prayers are with them. I heard just a bit ago also, not sure of location, a semi plowed into two autos that were stopped for road construction, killing 6 people, 5 of them in one family.

I-4 scares me. We always go up to Belz while we're at WDW, so we take I-4. The traffic is always bad. The last time they were doing construction and it was really bad, so I just took International Drive back. It took longer but it seemed safer. Sorry to hear about this accident.

Sorry, but I have to speak up for a change (I try not to create contoversy here on the DIS)

Look, there are a lot of things we cannot explain in life. But if it makes a difference in someone's life (like mine) to believe in GOD, question GOD, get angry at GOD, look from answers from GOD, well, that's exactly what I am going to do. But, in the mean time, I will not, in any circumstances, belittle anyone who does not believe in GOD. That is their choice, just as believing in GOD is other peoples choices. Sorry, but I believe your post belittles such a tragidy.

There are many people on the DIS with many religous (nor not religous) beliefs.

You have every right to believe in what you do or do not believe in.

I lost my mother when she was only 48 yrs old, and I was only 14 yrs old.

I choose to believe in GOD, and I admit Ido question him at time. "Why did you take her from me so young?"

I think about the things we never got to do, shopping together, having lunch together, not being there for the birth of my son, not seeing any of her grandchildren, etc.

But I chose not to give up on GOD.

If you choose not to believe in GOD, that is your choice. I have absolutely no right to contradict you.

I just felt you your expressing that this tradegy happened because there was no GOD around to stop it was inappropriate.

I feel we do not have to bring our personal beliefs into tragities like this one.

Sorry, I just feel that either a person expresses sympathy or says nothing at all.

Sorry if I offended anyone on the DIS. That is not my intention.

It's so sad when something like this happens......

EROS, I guess if I happen to be in a critical injury accident, I would hope that God kills me instantly if the alternative is a mangled body in the hospital on life support for an extended period of time before death. Much less suffering, for myself as well as my family.

Just MHO.

I guess I believe that for every person, there is a time to die. That is just my personal opinion.

I don't think God has control over every mistake, or every bad decision made behind the wheel of a car.
