Sad News About Bonny Eby

I did post this on the compassion board but I know at one time Bonny posted here and had many friends.

Bonny collapsed friday night at home and is in Dr. Phillips hospital in Florida The prognosis is horrible. Brain trauma due to lack of oxygen. No brain stem activity.

Short story is that her something went amiss with her Thyroid and so her body was not properly processing all the meds she was on. The doctor believes her body went into toxic shock. She is on dialysis and they are trying to cleanse her body of the toxins. While toxins levels are somewhat lower, there has been no signs of physical recovery.

I am just so so sad. This family has had so so many health issues to deal with.

Please keep them in your thoughts. Decisions will probably be made tomorrow.

She has not posted here for quite a long time, but I'm sure many people remember her and are glad that you posted this to let us know. This is very sad news and I will keep her family in my thoughts and prayers.
For people who didn't know her actual name, she posted here as mommytoMJM.

sometime last night.

I just spoke with Andrew... he told me a story of how much Bonny believed in Organ Donation and so he signed all the papers yesterday so that she may help others live.

He's busy trying to get MJ in a school since Bonny had been home schooling her.

He's taken the week off from work to try and get everything taken care of that needs to be.

No word on any kind of service.

Andrew is very appreciative of all the love and support and prayers everyone has been sending.

Very very sad.

I'm still in shock. I wonder if they'll ever find out exactly what caused her to collapse- I guess I didn't realize she was on that many meds that would build up to a toxic level. I hope Andrew is receiving all the support he needs- it's going to be tough for him to be working fulltime and taking care of a child with her special needs. If a funeral is planned, I would like to attend if the details are shared.---Kathy

My heart just breaks for MJ and Andrew. I know from her posts how much Bonny loved them both and Disney too. She was such a special lady, full of determination and courage always with all she had to face each day.

Deepest sympathy and prayers for comfort and peace for the family during this most difficult time.

What a blessing to hear that Andrew knew Bonny wanted to bless other peoples lives too.

Thanks for the update.
Not the news anyone hoped to hear, but we are happy at least to have the information.
Still keeping the family in my thoughts and prayers - there is a lot for them to process and get settled. I will be especially thinking of MJ since she spent so much time with her mom and may have a hard time understanding everything that has happened.

OH my goodness! This is such sad news!

Years ago my DD and I met Bonnie, MJ and Andrew on the Safari ride in AK. We were in line together and they were so sweet and helpful to us! In fact she is one of the first people who told me about DisBoards!

They had just formally adopted MJ and Bonnie was holding her on her lap in a wheel chair. Bonnie was glowing from motherhood!

It was one of those moments and people that just stick in your mind!

Bonnie's sweet smile and nature will forever be etched in my heart!

Andrew, I am so very sorry for your and MJ's loss!
