Boston Globe Icon Will Mc Donough passed away at the age of 67 while watching Sport Center last night. I didn't always agree with him but I always read him. Growing up in Connecticut before ESPN and the internet The Boston Globe was my link to the sports and he was the best.

Will McDonough passes away

I graduated high school with one of his sons. My mom taught both of his daughters in HS.

It is sad for Boston the NFL and the family.

:( :( That is sad news. He was a terrific sports writer.

Wow!! That's sad news. He was a real character.

Yes, this sad news strikes home for me too, for a variety of reasons.
May he rest in peace.

On one of the Boston TV stations they interviewed Bill Parcells. He was in tears. I heard Harry Sinden on sportsradio and he said, "it got to the point Will would call and say "this is what's wrong with your team"

There are some people you come across in life that, until they pass, you don't realize how influential or unique they are. Will McDonough was one of them.
