S/O How many were in your wedding party?

We had 4 (2 attendants and 2 groomsmen). I really just wanted to have one each, but my mom insisted that I ask my cousin in addition to my sister since I had been in her wedding. DH had his dad and brother.

Maid of honor and 3 bridesmaids, DH had best man and 3 groomsmen/ushers.....almost 43 year ago

DS had a best woman, and 2 groomswomen
DDIL had a maid of honor and 2 bridesmaids
Yep....all women attendants. It was pretty cool

I had 4 attendants and DH had five, which was more than I would have liked and more than I intended.

I asked my sister, my SIL-to-be, and my best friend. My mother asked my cousin and I didn't feel like I could "uninvite" her. (Or, more accurately, my mother asked my aunt if my cousin would do it. My cousin has/had some pretty strong social anxiety. My aunt asked my cousin (insisted that she accept, actually), who called and said "fine, I'll do it." At that point I didn't feel like I could say "Um, well... no thanks." For the record, I really like my cousin, so I didn't have a problem with having her stand up with me -- but she *hates* that kind of stuff. She would have been much happier as a guest. She and I both know it.

My husband had more attendants 5 attendants and almost had six. His five were his three best friends and 2 of his cousins. He almost had 6 attendants because SIL's boyfriend practically insisted that he should be in the wedding, so DH added him. (He was in the program, we had a groomsman gift for him, etc.) Then he and SIL-to-be broke up a week before the wedding and he backed out. Sigh. After a very on-again-off-again several years, they finally got married and have now been married 15+ years (and have only threatened to divorce a couple dozen times. (Roll eyes.))

Anyhow, my mom thought it was just WRONG that we had an uneven number of attendants, but I didn't want more and DH didn't want fewer, so... there were were.

4 bridesmaids, 3 groomsmen, MOH, Best Man, Guest Book Attendant, Mistress of Ceremonies, ring bearer

None - we went to the courthouse, found a judge, his secretary was the witness. Been married 30 years.

My sister was my matron of honor, DH's brother was his best man. I had one bridesmaid and he had two groomsmen.

My first marriage was at JOP two days before he left to Iraq. No bridal party. When we needed two witnesses it was the two people who were standing the closest.

If I ever get married again we will elope. Either Vegas or Disney. I don't care if Elvis or Mickey are our witnesses.

I'm embarrassed now to say that we had 8 on each side. It made sense at the time but in hindsight seems totally ridiculous, especially given that we only had 75 guests in total.

DH and I each had 6 attendants. 1 MOH, 1 BM, 4 Bridesmaids, 4 Groomsmen, 1 Jr. Bridesmaid, and 1 Jr. Groomsman.

First wedding - best brother (for me), 2 bridesmaids, flower girl, ring bearer, best man, 2 groomsmen. No ushers, the wedding was quick and secular, people could grab champagne/cocktails on the way to be seated and were directed by the wedding planner and day of event coordinator, about 250 guests.

Second wedding - no attendants, about 150 guests.

I had a maid of honor and two bridesmaids, DH had a best man and two groomsmen. We had a flower girl and ring bearer, and two ushers.

For our wedding in 1995, our wedding party was mainly kept to family.

I had a maid of honor (my sister), 3 bridesmaids (2 soon-to-be sisters-in-law & 1 longtime family friend), & 1 flowergirl (DH's niece). DH had a best man (his dad), 3 groomsmen (his 3 brothers), & 1 ringbearer (his nephew).

My guestbook attendant was a cousin, & I also had 2 girls who handed out programs as guests were ushered in - another younger cousin & a girl whom I had taught in Sunday school.

DH's 3 groomsmen (his 3 brothers) also acted as ushers.

We had a typical Southern church wedding w/ around 225 guests. Our reception was an afternoon tea.

So, total -

1 Maid of Honor, 3 Bridesmaids, & 1 Flowergirl
1 Best Man, 3 Groomsmen, & 1 Ringbearer
1 Guestbook Attendant
2 Program Attendants
