RV Parking

No. The POS (at least the one I have for SSR) prohibits motorcycles, commercial trucks and "oversized vehicles", among others. I think I've read here that there are places to park an RV nearby at Port Orleans. Not 100% certain, though.

It depends. The POS for OKW, dated 8/2000, "Article XII, Use Restrictions" does not prohibit the parking of RV's on OKW property. The article does address Bicycles, Motorcycles and Boats but not RV's. I would think if it was prohibited it would appear in this Article...I concede that I didn't read all 220 plus pages so it may appear elsewhere in another Article.

My 2002/2003 Member Guidebook at the OKW section, page 112, states "...RV's may be parked on property if the vehicle is less than the width of the interior of the lines of one individual parking space, and/or the vehicle does not exceed 24 feet in length".

It seems if it can fit in one parking space it's OK...more than one space it's NOT OK.

Each of the resorts can arrange for parking of oversize vehicles such as trailer trucks, large RV's, boats, travel trailers, etc.

I'm guessing the RV the OP was referring to probably falls into this category, 24ft would be 3 to 4 parking spaces if parked sideways. Larger vehicles and during busy times of year are re-routed to Port Orleans parking.

I was at OkW from the 6th to 18th and saw an RV parked sideways near our building 49. Was it the same one?

A couple of years ago we had guests who arrived with a pull behind trailer. We asked at HH, and they were given a pass to park it over at PORS. They even brought them back to OKW after they left the vehicle there.

When we were Home in September, a Medium sized motorhome was parked in front of the building when we returned for our mid-day break. It appeared the folks were unloading, and they must have gone elsewhere since we didn't see it the rest of the trip. My guess is it has a lot to do with the CM and, more importantly, the RV owner, how diligent these marginally sized RV's are parked for the week.
