Run Now! It’s Wine 0’Clock in WDW…Cupcakes Gone W&D16

AHHH...Gretchen and Jan are now aboard and here officially! What great pictures!!! I have to say that both of these ladies are the kindest, most thoughtful cupcakes! I have come to treasure their warm acceptance and friendship.

No I have not but she would probably enjoy the cupcake antics. She's perfectly dopey.

Best be warning here...but she already sound likes she would fit in...being dopey and all.

Ok, this sounds divine and I'm kind of sad I missed it Princess weekend! So I am down for this one! Maybe it will be good halfway through the afterparty to keep us going?

Hmmm...I wasn't sure about this, although I did see some, much younger than I am, girls having this shot Princess weekend who said it was good. DFB says it tastes like licorice so I'm intrigued! (Just not sure this old lady is down for shots!)

Well I hate licorice...and heck we need to do at least 1 shot right?

Tammie...sshhhhh...don't tell people we talk more about drinking than actually drinking! It will ruin our image! :rolleyes1

Tweedles are registered for the half! :woohoo: I'm speaking for my Tweedle without her consent because that's just how I roll, bossy-Tweedle ya know. ::yes::

Whet Your Appetite Wednesday:
Pre Planning Our Eat & Drink Around the World Crawl
(or by the end of the night rolling around the world or teetering)

China

Trying to find ways to pass the next 217 days, so Wednesday is going to be officially called “Whet Your Appetite Wednesday” because Cupcakes like eating and most of this trip will be focused around Food & Wine (and yes running Wine & Dine). Since the menus for F&W are not available for 2016 until the midSpring and we have pretty much covered favorite dining experiences and foods from around WDW…let’s start pre-planning some our Post Race Sunday Eat & Drink Crawl Around the World (information, rules and requirements later) by circling the World Showcase in search of the best snacks…

Next stop…the home of best Princess Role Model, Mulan…

CHINA. The China area is so beautiful to me and while I have had a few snacks here when my family and I attempted an Eat/Drink around the world day. I hate wasting a lot of stomach space here, because Chinese food (or the American verision) is so easily available so I am in search of something NEW, DIFFERENT or UNIQUE and since we have limited time it must be quick service.

Here are my selections to share…

Strawberry-Red Bean Ice Cream (Joy of Tea)

ice cream.jpg

I am a total ice cream kind of girl and have been known to have ice cream for breakfast at least once during a vacation. Red Beans…totally falls under the UNIQUE label.
Beijing Roasted Duck in steamed bun (China F&W Booth)

Honestly, I have never had duck…goose yes, lots of times but not duck. So a must try for me under a NEW category.

What looks good for a snack for you? Sweet or savory it does not matter.

Tammie...sshhhhh...don't tell people we talk more about drinking than actually drinking! It will ruin our image! :rolleyes1

Well someone of us are talkers...hate to ruin the Tweedle Rep as they have standards to uphold.

Tweedles are registered for the half! :woohoo: I'm speaking for my Tweedle without her consent because that's just how I roll, bossy-Tweedle ya know. ::yes::

YAY...glad it went smoothly for the both of you!

Maybe there's a better tasting shot elsewhere in the World?

Live on the edge Gretchen!

I love China's Booths are Food & Wine!

The next in our line up was China where both of us made a savory selection in order to soak up some of the alcohol in our system. I was really happy with my Roasted Duck Steam Bun - much better than the Steamed Bun from the Flower & Garden Festival. My husband had the potstickers and he was happy with them as well.

n China, I also got some different items than our earlier visits. The Black Pepper Shrimp has been around the festival for many years and it was always one of the items I’ve enjoyed. This time around didn’t disappoint either! The kung fu punch was also a nice refreshing beverage

My favorite of all of them are the Black Pepper Shrimp!

I know you were...that is why we had the back up plan and no matter what I was going...maybe getting out the running would have been more fun...NAH. I get you, Kafi and Buffy for the 10K...that makes me so happy! Thank you so much...I so owe you. It was killing me being trapped in a testing room with my phone on the other side of the door and I could not check it! That was the longest 45 minutes of my life...I have many more grey hairs.

Does Voss water count?

HEY RYAN...you get to live through the crazy old ladies again! LOL...have you warned your cousin about us?

yes Voss water counts!! Best bottled water EVER!!!!!

I'm not much for Chinese cuisine. I do like the look of that ice cream though.

Back from vacay... glad my Tweedle updated my status. I was able to register in line at Small World for early registration!
Just doing the half- Spending the rest of the time enjoying the parks, eating, drinking & spending time with Cupcakes (the people kind!) I can't wait!

Yesterday I signed up for our community rec center fitness center. Maybe it'll inspire me to start training this summer. (since I won't run outside in anything over 80).

Looking forward to the next 7 months of planning!

Personally ... I'd skip China. I do not like Chinese food. I don't like soy sauce. I like wonton soup and the chicken from sweet and sour chicken (but not the sweet and sour sauce), and that's it.
That said ... I had Chinese food for dinner last night. So if I was at Epcot and saw something I could eat at China (not likely because I haven't in the past), I might stop.

And duck is delicious. My mom makes it a few times a year ... it's really juicy and yummy (I'm really bad at describing food).

Part 3 of the excuses...best one ever!!!

While on break the best thing happened…

Baby Renyn was born on Cammy’s 30th Birthday!!! Isn't he the cutest?

I am finally getting caught up back and ready to start planning again…
Cammy is a mommy!!! I am so excited. Tell her I said congratulations. He is a cutie pie!!

Yeah.... I kinda of like coffee and this sounds like boozy coffee. I don't like Irish Creme liquor though. I am shaping up to be the talker of and much less the drinker. Now food on the other hand, I love food!!!!

yes Voss water counts!! Best bottled water EVER!!!!!

Why not sign up for a Disney Race while in line at a Disney Park, completely appropriate and thank goodness it worked! Yay on the fitness center! But no messing up the leg again on the indoor track!

Personally ... I'd skip China. I do not like Chinese food. I don't like soy sauce. I like wonton soup and the chicken from sweet and sour chicken (but not the sweet and sour sauce), and that's it. So basically you like chicken nuggets...lol.

I so could not be on Food Network...I just think things are yummy.

He is a cutie and she has taken to motherhood like I thought she would.

Drink = talk....but I am like you food = chewing

Gretchen, surely we can find a tasty shot in WS somewhere...
o
Awesome, Buffy says it counts!! There is my Norway drink lol!!

I think the Duck Bun sounds interesting...

I love Duck

nom nom duck

The duck bun is indeed nom nom nom!

THEY BETTER HAVE THAT DUCK BECAUSE IT LOOKS LIKE IT GETS LOTS OF VOTES!!!!

@debrapagliasotti I think @momabaarjo should do a shot in each country so we can decide.... (if they're available of course!)

That would be a NO to that suggestion @lovingeire ...I totally plan to be able to eat for 15 hours straight and doing something like this I would not make it past booth 2! I have never been in that kind of state and dont care to start at Disney...LOL...I might get banded for life for following Tweedle Bossy @Twoboysnmygirl up the pyramid in Mexico if we start that silliness. :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:
