Rumors that Disney is in negotiations to sell Star Wars back to George Lucas!

Just glad JJ super glued that childish mask back for Kylo.

It makes the attractions and meets better. Kinda similar to Vader having a mask-duh.

OK we get it, the mask is important after all-but come on it's Pedro.
The mask served the purpose of being able to change dialogue for Kylo Ren. They were still making changes to his dialogue a few weeks before the movie released.

Adam Driver recorded his last lines on November 21. Movie released December 20.

I agree they will not sell Lucasfilm. Quick point though: Kathleen Kennedy isn't a creative. She's a producer.

Star Wars needs a Kevin Feige type at the helm, who can guide not only the business but also the story. (And no, NOT Dave Filoni.)
Yes I know Kenndey is producer, but she gives the final yes/no to projects. Her track record has not been good. I was actually thinking of Jon Favreau. Now their is a top notch creative.

I haven't enjoyed his writing on the last season of Mandalorian. I think he'd be good to helm/start more projects and hand off the writing/directing to others.

Could be but you can't deny that Disney is in a world of hurt financially. Those facts are known and when a company is between a rock and a hard spot they scramble to stay alive. Iger has run this company into the ground and we are about to see the results of a train wreck that has been his tenure.
I don't think any sane person would say that Iger has run the company into the ground, or that the company is even in trouble.

So a new report out saying the new Rey movie will be filming in early 2024. Plot summary is Rey will be rebuilding a Jedi Academy with two promising pupils, one male and one female. Rey will serve as the wise mentor role in this film. I will give you one guess as to which one of her pupils is said to have really strong force and leadership potential?

Edit - I have no idea if this is true, as Disney seems to be running and doing damage control on it now.

That's supposedly a fake rumor but even if it is true, why does it bother you? Why does it matter if the female is a better force user? Why does it hurt your ego so much if a female is better than a male at something? Why can't a female be a better user of a mythical power than a male?

Stop falling for the online outrage machine

I just think if true it further proves the narrative that KK is all in on "The Force is Female" thing. People on here say it's all just a coincidence that the female leads are so good and strong, but when you see it over and over.......it sure appears to be a premeditated effort to ensure that "The Force is Female". When I watch Luke deconstructed under her leadership, it seems like it's done on purpose, to make way for a strong female lead. If I watch Indy deconstructed under her leadership (According to the plot leaks that is what happens), it seems like it's done on purpose, to make way for a strong female lead.

Is it simply a coincidence that Kenedy runs Lucasfilms who owns two massive movie franchises. In both of those franchises the male leads of the past are deconstructed to make way for better, stronger, morally superior female leads. Is your take that I am completely making all of this up? What is more likely? This happened completely naturally with no influence from the leader of Lucasfilm and both franchises ended up organically with new strong female leads after deconstructing the prior male leads. Or there is a plan to move away from male heros and replace them with female ones?

Once again, I have no issue with a female lead when done well and organically. Why do you think my "ego is hurt" by this but I have been on record as adoring the following characters:

Ellen Ripley
Princess Leia
Katniss Everdeen

The following series were released under KK and all had male leads: Mandalorian, Book of Boba Fett, Andor, soon to be Skeleton Crew with Jude Law. The only true female leads under KK are Rey, Ahsoka, and the co-lead of the Acolyte. Bo Katan and Ahsoka were existing Filoni characters with Ahsoka created by George Lucas. So this all in on "the Force is Female" is another incel driven boogeyman like your tired "deconstruction of a male" narrative. Even Lucas was going to make Luke a hermit.

You are using TV series to try and try and counter a point when I was talking about two massive movie franchises. It's all a just coincidence according to you!

Star Wars and Indiana Jones are two of the biggest "MOVIE" franchises in cinematic history.

Also, Jyn Erso, but I don't think that changes your point. Rogue One was largely an ensemble cast. Also, don't forget Cal Kestis - his games have high enough testosterone levels to satisfy the fans. 🤣

Yeah, and last I checked, Harrison Ford was still the lead in Dial of Destiny. Also, Solo had a male lead, and it tanked at the box office. Weird, right? :confused3

TV shows and video games.......are drastically different than the Movies. They reach two drastically different audiences.

But he's supposedly deconstructed as a means to make the male be 2nd place now to a female replacement and not the fact that Indiana Jones can't really be Indiana Jones any longer because he's 80. It was a stretch when Indy 4 came out. They are not planning a Indiana Jones 6: The Adventures of Fleabag. She's not going to pin herself to a franchise.
