Rumors that Disney is in negotiations to sell Star Wars back to George Lucas!

Yeah, and last I checked, Harrison Ford was still the lead in Dial of Destiny. Also, Solo had a male lead, and it tanked at the box office. Weird, right? :confused3
Who goes off to have another adventure at the end of DoD?

Solo failed due to Rian Johsnon's steaming pile of poo that came right before it.

TV shows and video games.......are drastically different than the Movies. They reach two drastically different audiences.
Not any longer. The TV shows will lead to a movie just like the Marvel shows lead into the movies and are shot in movie quality now. Andor is the prequel of Rogue One. Ahsoka is the lead-in to Filoni's Avengers-ish movie with all his characters.

I'd be willing to bet they actually don't follow up with Helena because the movie now takes place in 1969. The archeologist adventures like that don't really work in the '70's and wouldn't have the same charm. Their only option is to go back.

But he's supposedly deconstructed as a means to make the male be 2nd place now to a female replacement and not the fact that Indiana Jones can't really be Indiana Jones any longer because he's 80. It was a stretch when Indy 4 came out. They are not planning a Indiana Jones 6: The Adventures of Fleabag. She's not going to pin herself to a franchise.

Also, Luke showed why he's an eternal, butt-kicking super-Jedi in the very movie that is decried for denegrating him. :confused3

That is simply not true.

How many people watched Andor?

How many people watched Rogue One?

Drastically different audiences, just like I said.

I really don’t get why having good/positive female representation for young girls and boys bothers some Star Wars fans so much. I would have killed for a character like Rey growing up but had to settle for Luke. Girls want to see themselves as a Jedi/ace pilots/bounty hunters too so why is it such a big issue for a certain section of the male fanbase that a female character is good with the force? Women/young girls have had to put up with seeing the male characters do all of the good stuff for decades.

I think you're probalby right that streaming shows are a little different than theatrical, but that doesn't change the fact that the Great and Powerful Kathleen has greenlit many projects with male leads and has many male characters in all of the movies, and has hired male directors. I mean, CLEARLY she hates men.... 🙄

Force projecting to have a hologram fight with Kylo, and then dying due to that, is not being a "butt-kicking super-jedi", why can't you understand that? Literally hundreds of main stream publications have reported that the "deconstruction of Luke Skywalker" lead to Johnson's movie being the most divisive movie in the entire Star Wars portfolio.

You not agreeing with this, does not make it any less true.

it's becuase they feel threatened by strong women and feel that in order to boost up the female character they treat the male characters poorly. It's silly and totally untrue (at least in the case of Star Wars), but they just need somewhere to direct their rage.

So it's time to get even right? So you agree the force should be female going forward it sounds like. Why is it so important to destroy what I love in order for you to get what you will love?

What other Jedi has ever done that? It was pretty impressive if you ask me, and clearly took a lot out of him too.

What you love shouldn't change because you're basing it on your nostalgia. I never got the massive overreaction to The Last Jedi because what Luke became in that movie, started by JJ Abrams and clearly laid out in Force Awakens, does nothing to change how you should feel about him in the OT. But we can all move forward with new storylines that don't have to be carbon copies of the past. And I loved it because Luke came through in the end, not by decimating the First Order with the Force and his lightsaber but by doing exactly what Obi Wan did for him.

Why does a strong female character threaten how you feel about your nostalgia? Again, take a look inward if that's an issue.

Also to add on - Harrison Ford said at Cannes during the premiere of Dial of Destiny that HE specifically asked for Indy to have a companion this time that Indy could have a real connection with and that it wasn’t just flirty banter so that HE could take more of a back seat this time and have someone capable with him so if you have an issue with anyone about DoD then take it up with Harrison Ford, I guess.

Thank you, not that it matters. This is like talking to a wall.

Right, this idea that Harrison Ford doesn't have pull over his character is silly. He told George Lucas no on a plotline for Indy 4 which caused Lucas to change the draft and storyline for that movie. There is no movie without Harrison Ford approving the script. Just like Han Solo was always going to die in Force Awakens because that's what Harrison Ford wanted going back to Return of the Jedi. He signed on for Force Awakens specifically because he finally got his wish.

You are asking me to do something, that you are clearly not willing to do yourself. You don't agree that OT fans should be pissed about how Luke was treated, and are completely unwilling to consider why they are so ticked off. However, you want me to look "inward" as a way to grow and accept the new direction?

The new direction happens whether you like it or not. You either accept it or stop watching. If it bothers you so much then you have options instead of seemingly being irritated.

It has nothing to do with “getting even” 🙄 Nor do I agree with the asinine “Force is Female” nonsense the dude bros cry themselves to sleep over and certain toxic Youtubers perpetuate. Young girls and boys deserve good representation. I want everyone to see themselves in the Star Wars universe and to be able to have characters that appeal to them. We’re all emotionally invested in Star Wars and it means a lot to all of us but what’s happened has happened so deal with it or don’t.

A large part of OT fans disagree with you on this, and the majority of Luke Skywalker fans disagree with you on this matter. Once again, I understand what you think, I understand your logic, you articulated it well, and I am plenty intelligent enough to follow your thought process. I just personally feel you are completely and utterly dead wrong about it.

You are not aligned with a large portion of the fanbase on this, and you seem to really struggle with that for some reason. I am not trying to be mean, but you are not suddenly going to enlighten me to your way of thinking on this matter, because I think it is utterly false. I get that you have an echo chamber on here of a bunch of people that think like you, but that still doesn't make this thought the norm for SW fans.
