It doesn't matter if it was sandwiched between Infinity War and Endgame. So was Ant Man and the Wasp and it barely made half. That shows that people saw Ant Man and Wasp maybe one time. People went back for repeated viewings of Captain Marvel. Just like people did for Black Panther, another groundbreaking Marvel film. Your "facts" also stem from grudges you seem to hold with actors and creatives for crimes they seem to commit against men.

It was just a terribly written character, not her fault at all. They took a good actress who happened to be beautiful and put her in a potato sack of a costume and gave her some of the most cringy lines in the movie. The studio did her absolutely no favors in the movies. She didn't receive any more hate than Jake Loyd did, and he was just a kid.
