Rumors of Light (ROL discussion thread)

Woo-hoo..dining package booked.

I went with the 5:55 dinner and with the show being at 7:15 I hope we don't have to "rush" through dinner.

Agreed. We won't be able to see it in March and I am sooooo disappointed after waiting all this time.
I just booked for dinner in March and my confirmation says "ROL First Viewing" so maybe they will add a second to the schedule?

I've got a dining package ADR for Tiffins at 5:55 (1st show) but I'm wondering if thats enough time. Is there any real benefit to making into the theater early if I have the dining package voucher?

If we are sat at 6 I'd imagine we can be walking out but 7:05 and be at the theater by 7:10 for the 7:15 show but just seems like I'd be cutting it close and would hate tor rush through dinner.

Nevermind...just saw that on;y one show is scheduled on May 28 at 9:15...thats plenty of time.

I'm guessing no AP discount for the dining package though. if I can snag a FP+ when my window comes available it may be better to keep a regular ADR (use my 20% AP disocunt) at Tiffins then just use a FP+ for the show.

To compete with the ROL ................. ::yes::

https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/b...ular-will-debut-at-magic-kingdom-park-may-12/

I had hinted to this numerous times in previous months ....
.... but @TheFloatingBear - no, this isn't the item I was referring to in our convo. ;)

D'oh! I thought for sure...argh!

So...just thinking this ups the ante for my April sister trip to get a good view for Wishes... oh the pressure....

There's too much new info for me to process today...thank goodness it's a snow day and I can just sit here and Disney dream...pixiedust:

OMG - Our trip this August is going to chock full of new things! New show at MK, Star Wars fireworks (which my family hasn't seen), AK After Dark (which none of us have seen yet), Rivers of Light, Avatarland - super excited!!! Now all we need is a new nighttime MK parade!

It will be going to a whole new destination for you! :cool1:

I can't believe ROL is actually here!!!
I booked a Tiffins lunch and dinner for 2/25 and 2/26 and got FP+ for both days. It was too much excitement to figure out which day.
Now to decide - is a 15 minute show worth adding an extra park day or not?

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: I knew you would think this was it. I kept trying to hint on this one, knew it was coming, but the dates were so fuzzy. I PERSONALLY think the dates were decided after they had opening dates for Pandora. Not only will Pandora be brand new but also looks like night time there will be a real visual treat. ROL will pull some, but I think they really needed a huge night must do in MK to help with crowds. Epcot and DHS won't help at this point. And with summer attendance down last year, they need all the draw they can get. Adding in May is good move.

I'm right there with you - trying to figure out the best option with my traveling party!

Well, this is one time I'm kind of glad I don't have a Spring trip planned - nah, not really, but since I don't go back until Halloween this year, hopefully all will settle down by then... :)

I'm right there with you - trying to figure out the best option with my traveling party!

Our plans were to only do 1 park day before our very first Disney cruise. So we have the following plans:
2/25 arrive at BCV and relax at pool
2/26 AK till noon, Epcot afternoon/eve (DD wants safari, FOLK and Frozen ride and Soarin) so everything was set
2/27-3/3 Dream
3/3 MK DVC after hours party

Now with ROL in the mix I can't decide what to do.
Option A:
Lunch at Tiffins on 2/26 (already gonna be there)
Epcot in afternoon and then bus back over to AK to see ROL

Option B:
Add another park day on 2/25 (need to buy another ticket for DD)

There will be me, DH, DD, my dad and his girlfriend
Help

It will be! Crazy considering we somehow end up in WDW every year...

The best part is we will be there for TWO WEEKS in August. With newbies (including my 3.5yr old niece) to boot!!!!

Re-arranged plans but now have Tusker House late lunch with "first" ROL seating package for 2/22 (will have to hop from HS, have our FPs there in the am), then on 2/23, canceled our AK dinner, to hop back to HS to see Fantasmic! Figured I'd rather do stand-by or 4th FP for Fantasmic! than try to get into ROL that way!

Thank goodness for these threads! First thing I saw at 8am and started booking! No tables larger than 4 available so we have 2 4s and one 2 booked at the same time. Best we could do. Hope it's good enough!
