Rumors of Light (ROL discussion thread)

Thanks everyone! Our Dr said if ear not better in 48 hours to get antibiotic. We still have time since we don't fly out until Sunday - thankfully. She slept well last night and seemed great this morning. She has not had a fever or anything - I am certain it is just a cold. And being congested she did not sleep well the night before - which made it all worse.

I actually would not normally take her to the Dr for that - but thought with trip coming up and Saturday is her birthday party for her friends here in NY - that I it would be best! Fingers crossed!

I am going to check out the " ear planes". Never heard of! But I think they sound great!! She has children over the ear headphones so that would be perfect!

Thanks everyone for all your advice!
I am arriving at Disney on Sunday as well. :). AK on Monday with my ROL tshirt

I've only been checking in every couple of days but this time the thread has jumped by pages, has something happened????

If anyone has any monorail resort adult beverage recommendations under $15 throw them my way! I may do a "live trip report" tomorrow!! :D

Trader Sam's is so much fun! My DH and I agreed it's one of the coolest bars we've ever been to (we are generally not bar-goers). I had the Hippopoto-maitai and liked it. It was $21 with the souvenir tiki glass and I think is $15 without.

Here too!!

I agree this is the calm before the storm as we await news from the almighty blog on The 20th....

:jester:

Still catching up - I guess because sadly I'm not currently planning a trip, I have lost ALL AWARENESS upcoming blog posting! You'd think I'd just be able to sense these things at this point! So glad I saw your post so I can tune in!!

@Paigevon - congrats on your new job - all of your hard work has paid off! I think your celebration plan sounds awesome! If I could drive to FL, I'd have a serious problem too!

:offtopic: Finally heard from our pediatrician's care team yesterday (I called them - so much for Friday or Monday for a worried parent). Both her sleeping/waking EEG results were normal and she doesn't appear to have underlying seizure activity. We have a follow-up appointment with our pediatrician next week to make sure we cover all the bases, but it sounds good. Hoping to get a few more answers about what happened but not sure we will. I guess sometimes these kind of things happen.

I am very relieved! :dogdance:
