Are we going to have to start a ROL part 2? How long can a Thread go?

Since they moved to new servers last year, there really isn't a page limit anymore...pages are split more because they get too cumbersome. ..

I am going to be devils advocate here but I doubt that person was trying to be negative. Unlike me they may have not followed this thread from the beginning and just want to go somewhere that they can get a quick answer. I did not get the impression they were trying to be rude. That is what makes the written word hard sometimes because everyone reads it a little differently.

I agree with you. But, then again, I tend to believe in people and give them the benefit of the doubt.

Well, I don't know how long they can go. I would say we have a ways to go... But I am trying to be positive about things and I say, we're going to start some kind of roll call thread for people going to preview parties and such!

I agree! Once they finally release everything for booking, we should probably start fresh on a roll call thread. But I do love the chatter chatter here as much as the tidbits of info.

Me too! I just think it would be fun because I've seen those thread but never have been part of one...

Well FEA was slated for the beginning of May and it's been pushed back from everything I'm hearing. Soarin was June 2nd and it's being pushed back to end of June/early July (again, what I'm hearing).

I too heard the May 27th for FEA, really hoping they open soarin before the chaos of July, but again who knows.

I really appreciate this thread. A lot of great news and people helping others find out what they can. Crossing fingers for something soon!

I did see this, but I figured there would be more details. Disney hasn't even officially announced a date for Tiffins unlike ROL. I could see them roll out ROL with fast pass, and later add adrs when Tiffins is ready. Hopefully not, I'd rather schedule now but again time will tell....

this is a sloppy mess all the way around. Not sure what happened to disney's much-lauded attention to detail as to rolling out new attractions/events.

After jumping thru hoops last year to book special events for Star Wars at MGM and in DL (for Blue Bayou Magical Halloween & their Halloween party), I had hoped they'd have improved a bit on the roll-outs after all the negative comments by those who were shut out.

If their intent is to create a buzz before they release details on their blog & website (at which point a large portion of things are already booked after 'soft-rollout'), they have succeeded. I do appreciate being able to get head's up here as to 'when' things will get going

I believe the only other place you can get the slipper dessert is at the GF. But you could always have a custom cake or dessert delivered to your room at WL. The cake chatter thread has tons of great info on ordering customs cakes.

The only part I found very odd is it hasn't been that long since they announced the debut date
It seems very unlikely they would know it's opening date just 2 weeks ago and now have something that would cause such a delay that they can't say when it will open

While I agree that would be logical in the real world, the back and forth on BTMR convinced me that Disney isn't bothered by rolling out info and taking it back a week later. They had BTMR on the refurb list for May for a couple months. Then took it off (silly me told children) and a week later it was back on again (and then taken off again for May about a month later). If they really are having a problem finishing something (or maybe getting something in) that could explain all the rumored dates when packages would be available coming and then going with nothing. Maybe someone was overly optimistic or they thought an issue was resolved and now it's not. I hope that isn't the case and April 22 is still on, but ...

For my purposes, while I have not attained my ultimate goal yet - ROL guaranteed seats of some kind - I have gone from introverted lurker, to earning my ears (?) to Mouseketeer on this thread. So, there's something...

No, I have no idea why they pushed it back but it's not because of frozen or soarin. Frozen yes is taking longer than originally though. Soarin is still on schedule nothing being pushed back there.

I really hope not. I really want soarin and FEA by June. I'm thinking Tiffins is not ready yet. I haven't heard much about it. No menus, nothing....

Frozen should be ready by June. Soarin will be done in June but from everything I've heard due to the Shanghai agreement, the film will open there first and then soon after open in Disneyland and WDW. Tiffins should also be ready by June probably even May.

I would have thought that off season started later... like late Aug/Sept when most schools are in session.

All through late Aug certainly aren't off season crowds! I know they're up in general, but mid-late Aug still significantly higher than beginning Sept.

This refurb needs that amount of time and they want it done before the big holiday rush.
