Rumors of Light (ROL discussion thread)

I called back in and the CM was clueless about the ROL package. Hmmm. The 1st person was reading something and said March 11 they open. Either I got bad info or inside info I wasn't supposed to get....
This is so typical. If you ask anything beyond the "everyday" topics, you are likely to get as many differing answers as the number of CMs you speak with.

I step away to take DD to school and it's a decent rumor that on Friday, the packages will be book able?

I'm too lazy to read back thru...

Please do not apologize. You are gracious enough to try to give out information to help other folks. Your information is consistent with information that I received this past weekend from a CM who was reading me an e-mail she received. See my post #763 in this thread. I could tell she was clearly reading something because at one point the message was poorly written and she said "what, what are they saying" then read that part again word for word to me several times.

That being said, Disney is known to do things differently -- earlier or later -- than when they say, even when they announce it publicly versus just to their employees. So I still check daily, okay who am I kidding hourly and sometimes more. If you don't, you do so at your own peril, ie, all those folks who waited until 6am to book BOG breakfast on the day they announced ressies would be available and they opened around 2:30am because IT got them loaded into the system faster than they anticipated.

Your information about TH being the only dining package option seems new from what I learned. Although there were definitely parts of the message that the CM didn't read to me because she was going "yada, yada, yada . . . " and would then pick up reading again. This might explain why a much earlier poster (who showed a screen shot of TH dining package) showed breakfast, lunch and dinner as a dining package option. Disney World generally does not do breakfast package options (Fantasmic, Candlelight Processional, etc.).

I'm pretty sure last year they did Garden Grill breakfast as an option iwth CP. I am hoping they do it again this year!

Sooo, Like all here, I wanna be "at the starting gate" when these ADRs open for the RoL Dining Package. I've seen an number of different MDE pages posted here. What page or pages are you all going to be checking first on the day you think it may open for bookings (11th?)

I hope that I can book for April! Hope it's NOT for packages starting May 1st! If it is, I sure hope they open FPs for that last week of April! Otherwise, I'm not sure we'll get to see it.
What makes you think that standby won't work? It works for Fantasmic! Perhaps not the best seats, and you'll have to get there early, but I haven't seen anything suggesting there won't be any standby for ROL seating.

My party is not equipped to stand for 2 hours for a 15 minute show. If we can't see it with a FP or dining package, we'll have to wait until another trip to try to reserve then.

Just looking at the prices that were posted at the DIBB for the RoL Tusker House packages. $37 for breakfast and $49 for lunch/dinner (adult) doesn't sound too bad to me comparing to what the usual character meal at TH goes for. I was expecting it too be a lot more, given how they've raised prices for restaurants and special events elsewhere in the parks. Just hoping that the price quoting is right - then we sure will be getting the TH RoL breakfast package.

We would wait in standby if we had to. We already have a Tusker House dinner planned that day. Just figure a ROL package would be a nice addition.

Agree! While 3 members of our family DID stand for 3 hrs to see Triple Crown winner American Pharoah "up close and personal", I don't think I'd do it for a nighttime spectacular that I know I can catch on another WDW visit in the future. There's just too many other fun and exciting things to do in WDW with those 2-3hrs besides wait in line.

That's pretty fair. Not too much different from F!

Do we think reservations will be available for the Flame Tree package? For the Tusker House package, will it be 1 credit on the dining plan?

In viewing the ROL threads etc.. am I correct is this just like the World of Color at Disney? I mean with animals projected on the water sprays instead of Disney characters (although I am sure there will be some :tigger:). I like to refer to it, (for those of you who have been to Vegas) " the Bellagio fountains on crack". It's a must do so so cool
No, it won't be just like World of Color. That is water/projection/laser only. RoL will have live dancers also.

As decent a rumor as it was yesterday and the day before

No one knows any more than is posted in the Dibb link a few pages back.
It appears there will be a time you book for Flame Tree because it mentions the time must be at least 2 hours before show time, or something like that.

I am guessing 1, as well. It's about the same price as H&V F! and that is only 1 credit.

Does the H&V F! dinner package have characters? I'm just wondering if they up the charge at TH because of the characters?
