Rumors of Light (ROL discussion thread)

OP would likely be able to get into the park as early as 8:15/8:30 and BOG will seat you as soon as you arrive, regardless of ADR time, if they have room. So OP could be seated early and still done around 9 (only takes us about a half-hour to eat there). So may not lose much park time at all. Though the effect of EMM guests remains to be seen....
I have heard they basically let everyone with a PPO opening in at the same time at BOG.Not sure if this is still true. I would probably try to show up earlier and see what happens. Not sure if there are limits at the main gate as to how far in advance of your ADR they allow you in.
Very good to know! I'll keep that in mind. :thanks: It could work out well for me if I get in the park early, snap a few nice pics, get in BOG early, eat up and get out by 9. Pre-ordering the food would cut down some time too I'm sure. If only I had thought to book this res sooner I could've got an earlier time.

What website are you all using for the reservation watch?

Looking for opinions. My last day of my Disney vacation is 4/26 and we are spending it at MK. Of course that happens to be the first day of EMM. I have a BOG res for 8:50 that morning. Do you think there is any value in keeping that? My original thought was that we could at least get in the park early and maybe get some nice non crowd pics (like my profile pic). However we would be eating at prime rope drop time instead of getting in a line. Just wanted to hear some thoughts and suggestions on this. :)
I'd try to plan to be seated at 8:30 and order ahead. You may be done right around 9 am. :)
You could even go to the link I posted ^ and try stalking for an earlier breakfast time, if you'd like.

We're keeping our 8:05 PPO BOG ADR, and I'm making two different touring plans depending on how the lines in FP seem to be affected... ours falls on the second (I believe) EMM in existence, but if they're all booked then they should lead to nearly identical impacts. We have some late morning Fantasyland ADR so we'll probably go to Tomorrowland after breakfast then work back to the FL FP+ only if the FL lines are considerably longer than expected. Otherwise, proceeding as originally planned. Our second MK day/last day, we're RDing and starting in Adventure and Frontierland.

Keep checking for an earlier one. Somebody is bound to cancel due to EMM.

Just got off the phone - so nice to actually be able to book something after all the frustrating ROL calls, lol! I couldn't believe it was available so close! I spoiled the surprise for myself too - but given my nature as an over-reasearcher, it's tough to avoid! They said it's a little different ever time, so it will still be a surprise! I'm really excited about this tour, I think it will be really fun! :dogdance:

So now I have both the Family Magic Tour for all of us booked, AND the Pirate Adventure Cruise for the kids - not sure if we'll keep the latter, but that takes care of the preview party $!!

Thanks you, @DG-12 for the idea!!
I've been reading since the beginning, but since I am not going till Dec, I decided not to join the fun till now. We did both of these with my niece years ago and she loved them both. She was a little nervous standing at the GF dock with only boys around and then, thankfully, some girls showed up. She had a blast and I think she was about 10 at the time. My mom and I went to have a spa treatment--it was perfect for all of us.
As for the Family Magic Tour...that was the best thing ever. We laughed so much and really got into it (I waddled like a penguin around the castle). We had the chance to skip the line on a ride and then went to another attraction with a famous character. That character took my niece's hand and sat next to her--she was beyond excited.

Finally over brooding about RoL and ready to move on with finalizing my plans.
I'm going to keep my Tusker House plans for my AK day - who knows, maybe we'll see some testing happening.
I have a coveted ADR for 'Ohana at 9:30 on Tuesday April 26 I'm going to release back to the system shortly.
I just thought I'd offer it up here in case anyone wants it. I assume you can message me, then you standby to scoop it as I drop it?

Mini-rant...

I've missed out THREE times because the Dibbs FP+ availability showed MSEP FP+ available, but they weren't available to book on MDE.... Well, I could see them when I searched, but that's it!

I had two FP+ booked for it, and I was trying to change the people on the FP+, so I quickly dropped it and went to book it again.. if showed up, but wouldn't let me book it.. on phone and laptop. I could view it, but when I tried to select time, it just went out to the FP changes page...

I wonder if, as people have dropped them, Disney is no longer opening them up? I have FoF parade FP+ but I really want MSEP FP+ instead for 5/4. :(

Very pretty, I like that but will probably do pink.

OPI has some Disney colors - at least they did...the one I'm really hooked on is calls "I'm All Ears" and it is a dark pink with subtle sparkles (can't see them very well in the photo, but they are there). You can still find it on Amazon, but it's getting pricier since it's an old color. I've been hooked on this for the past couple of years and will need to find a replacement soon when my bottle runs out!

It's been offered for several years! I recommend it, though it may be boring for young children.

I just googled for it since I never heard and you are right, it's probably boring for my kids (though it does sound really interesting to me!) I saw they are also offering a tour at Sanaa at 4pm. We have a 2:30pm lunch at Sanaa on one of our off days - I wonder if that would be a better tour for all of us?

Yep, that's how it works! :)

Fun! I was planning to look for Disney ideas later today. Thanks!

I have the whole collection, full sized and mini bottles. This pink and the other more reddish pink, are the best shades of the bunch.

So cute!!

Has anybody here tried jamberry nails? They have Disney designs! https://www.jamberry.com/us/en/shop/shop/for/nail-wraps?collection=collection://1128&show=all#.VwZz1vkrLIU I've never used them before, but I'm tempted..
I have used them once but not a fan of the sticker process myself. In general I only keep my toes painted continually. For my fingers I only get gels every other manicure. So harsh on my already fragile nails. (thank you Graves disease)

WL used to have a tour also. No idea if it's still offered with all the construction going on. But it focuses a bit on trains and construction of the lodge. DH loved that one (I skipped it)

You will still get the low crowd pics as most will be taking advantage of the rides.

Hi all! have not kept up with this thread too much, any updates if it is still going live on the 22nd?

I'm going to hit up my local beauty supply and get a gel polish. I may be away from home just long enough to need a mani while I'm gone. I can usually go 4 weeks with gel:lovestruc between manis:lovestruc
