Rumors of Light (ROL discussion thread)

Using that logic no one should ever repeat any ride or attraction during their trip. Or meal. Not just FP but stand by too.
Doing so potentially takes away a chance for someone else to do it
So tell us, do you ever repeat anything during your trip?

Yes, and why limit it to a single trip? If you've ever been on a ride before in any trip and at any age, shouldn't the first time/once in a lifetime people have priority over you for everything??? If FP+ or other reservations are available and someone doesn't take advantage of it, that's on them, not on people who want to experience something multiple times.

I guess I feel that there are some things that some people will get to do, and some things they don't get to do, for whatever reason. And that includes a trip to WDW. Not everyone is willing(or able) to spend the kind of money it takes to have a high end vacation. Some scrimp and save and budget and make choices based on what they can afford.

It's like saying that everyone should be able to drive an expensive car, because that would be fair. Some people will always have to drive a much less expensive car.

The opportunity to reserve FP or dining packages is available to everyone. Everyone can choose to research and plan, and be able to be on top of booking what ever they want, or to choose to not plan and research and do it on the fly. It's their choice.

Disney should set up a dessert party ($79) for those that want to get ROL dining packages. You'll be allowed to use the FP+ kiosks to set up the package while eating pudding out of an edible Cinderella shoe.

I think a tasty adult beverage and a non-alcoholic glowing cube drink would be satisfactory for waiting in an FP+ kiosk line:) They should give out free beverages in all of the FP+ kiosk lines to lessen the anger.

Apples and oranges. We're talking about a brand new experience for the whole world to see, with apparently very limited seating/availability. I wouldn't mind WDW clamping down on repeat reservations -- one per party per visit -- until the show has run for a while.

We both (all) know that won't happen.

After the show has been up for a while, I wouldn't consider it "greedy" if people double-dip. (the poster's term was "greedy," and again, why would they ask if they didn't feel at least a twinge of guilt at the thought?)

I'm gong for 2 weeks. You can be sure that I'll be doing this twice....no guilt. There are many things I'll be doing more than once.

Let's all take a deep breath again.

It's coming soon we all know that. It's obvious Disney is getting the site ready for a lot of new things. As we know Disney IT isn't always the greatest and they probably need this time to get things in order. We will probably learn more during the web chat next week.

I think this is a pretty standard DISboards thread when it comes to stalking for something new. :)

Has a date been formally accounted? We are going 4/10-4/14 and then again on 7/26. I'd like to get to see it in April, but I guess it's not the end of the world!

But you saw it once, and they saw it once. That would be fair.
What if they see it twice and you don't get to see it all? Is that still fair to you?

I don't think so, but apparently, that's just my opinion.

How many times have you been on a full park bus, only to tell the driver you want to exit so other people can get on instead?

Oh for goodness sake, what utter nonsense.

If someone wants to book a dinner package every night of their trip, it doesn't matter to me. That's how Disney works; it doesn't divide up the experiences equally so everyone gets a turn, some people have to miss out on certain things. We're talking about a 20-30 minute show at a theme park here folks.
I say if you want a dining package be ready to get one. If you snooze you lose!

You all know they are going to roll it out in the middle of the night and not announce it right away. If they announced for example that it was going to open at 9am next Thursday the site would crash. Has anyone ever tried to register for a rundisney event? Same thing would happen for this times 1000!

Somehow those runDisney ones always seem so much worse to me... probably because I know its really going to fill up in the first hour so I /have/ to stay glued to the screen until it works again if I want in... :sad2:
