Rumors of Light (ROL discussion thread)

Right!? The bread service was so good, I'm debating trying to get back there this time. Going with my mom and aunt in November and I may have to plan on going there for lunch.

I made us an ADR at Sanaa on our off-park day. I was already eyeing the bread service. We all LOVE naan bread! Wondering if I should just get the appetizer as an entree for my kids and get me another appetizer on top?

Sounds like a great plan. :goodvibes
You have the option of the smaller or larger bread service, so there's some flexibility.

:fish:Okay... apparently my tweens need to try Crush -n-Gusher, Castaway Creek, Humunga Kowabunga.

Their mother is very excited for TWO of those attractions...

We've never been to either of the water parks - any preferences for either one? If it helps, my kids are 11 and 9...

Blizzard Beach is our overall favorite water park, but my boys (13 and 10 on last trip, now 15 and almost 13) love, love Crush 'n Gusher. They are trying to convince me I need to ride it.

I'm confused, what is an "off-park day"?

Serious, or sarcasm? Given the way you've been hassling the parks bloggers, I can't tell. :P

We have one "off-park day," i.e., a break day, scheduled in the middle of our trip. It is taking literally every ounce of willpower I have not to plan SOMETHING in advance for that day.

What?! I have not heard of this but it sounds incredible. What is it with bread pudding at Disney? I never used to even like it and first Ohana's and then recently tried the one at Raglan Road and that's amazing too. I'll add this one to my must try list. I swear you need a small fortune, a couple years of free time, and an incredible metabolism to try all the good food here.

Me too! I honestly don't even think I have ever had it until I tried Ohana's. That stuff is amazing. And the one at Raglan Road is really good, too!

The french toast bread pudding is a breakfast dish; I know they also have it at Trails End! I'm not sure if it is at any others but it could be.

I can just survive on bread pudding and Dole Whips at WDW.

If you do you will definitely not be the only one. I've shown up twice randomly in the last week just to catch glimpses of their testing and both times ran into other local dis bloggers/social media people. And it's still a month away lol....:D

Its just going to be a tough choice. I only have a week so I don't really want to give up other fun nighttime activities... But I really really want to see this show.

I'm bilingual; I speak English and Sarcasm.

2 more posted Comments today - my wife is worried I'm going to get us 'flagged'. I think they would have to read and care about the comments for that to be a concern.

Please let us know which dates if you get any info! May go back with the kids if I can get a discount :)

Night shifter going to bed here. Let me know if you find out about this! We are booked April 2nd and a discount would be great!

I was finally able to get through to a CM that was able to view the promotion. As yulilin3 mentioned, it is for the Saturday Club Villain at 9pm. CM informed me that although she could view the promotion, she could not apply it. She had tried multiple times prior with another guest, and suggested calling back tomorrow.

Haha! Just watch, you'll step up to the tapstile and scan your band to enter the park, and they'll have a list with your name on it. "Sorry, sir, but you can't bring your negativity into the park. Here are some tickets to Dismaland instead."

Ugh you guys have me questioning my dining plan choices! We had a Sanaa date canceled, but when the trip was rescheduled with 1 less day I couldn't fit it in.

I have always preffered Typhoon Lagoon....but my kids prefer Blizzard Beach. Luckily we go for 2 weeks so we can go to both. If my boys had to pick one it would be Blizzard Beach.

I'm on MDE right now, and a pop-up just came up saying I can "chat" with a CM if I have any questions. Why yes, I do... :)

Edit: I got the expected response:

"We're waiting for those dates to be released too! It looks really cool!

Keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog- they often will update first with information like that."

I thanked her for her time. She was very nice, and really didn't seem to have any info we don't already know. Lots of people waiting!

hmmm...TL looks so tropical, so that appeals to me, but BB just looks different from other water parks. I'm really hoping that we can do both. Someone that's been on this thread - I can see her avatar but can't remember her name - she said on another thread that her family just goes to the one whose bus arrives first! That's not a bad strategy!

Am I more likely to get seating in the shade at one or another? DH is a bit of a delicate flower... :flower1:
