Rumors of Light (ROL discussion thread)

I personally think this had more to do with the added morning magic hours and the new after hours. If it is successful than I can see Disney adding this as a paid option for each park.
Good grief I hope not. As of now, with the exception of the one evening EMH scheduled each week, MK closes every night in June at 10pm. I would hate to think that Disney will keep that regular closing time at 10 and make the paid extra evening thing the only option for being there past that time during summer hours. Can you imagine with the summer crowds and having regular closing time at 10pm? That's nuts :confused3

I see this all over the Dis. Help me understand what this means. :hyper2: I like me some bread but I've never raved about a restaurant's bread service. Why is this so great?

I was trying to get TH dinner and at 180 days the park was closing at 5 so no dinner. When they extended the hours to 6, they opened up the ADRs about 2 or 3 days later. So be on the look out then.
different types of naan bread and a buttload of spreads, from sweet to mild to super spicy. We order the full bread service and then two appetizers and are done (this is for me and my DD15)

It is SO good. I love Naan bread and I actually don't like many spicy foods, but I really only found one of the dips (2nd from the spiciest, I think) to be too much spice.

This photo should work, from our trip in November:

:fish:Okay... apparently my tweens need to try Crush -n-Gusher, Castaway Creek, Humunga Kowabunga.

Their mother is very excited for TWO of those attractions...

We've never been to either of the water parks - any preferences for either one? If it helps, my kids are 11 and 9...

Don't have a cool picture but wanted to echo that we loved it too - even the kids! In fact, I'm now having second thoughts that we don't have an ADR for Sanaa...

Right!? The bread service was so good, I'm debating trying to get back there this time. Going with my mom and aunt in November and I may have to plan on going there for lunch.

We rather Blizzard Beach. Maybe we didn't give Typhoon Lagoon enough of a try but we just didn't enjoy a lot of the attractions there. WIth that said, my boys, ages 13 and 9 at the time, are not great swimmers. More of the attractions at Blizzard Beach are geared towards people who aren't necessarily strong swimmers.

We're staying at AKL for the first time (are only other visit was to go to Sanaa!) so I'm thinking that I can squeeze a trip there for lunch or something...

Bleh. Now that it looks like the preview parties have been cancelled I'm even more in the dark. Am I going to have to get in a three hour line to see this show on the 22nd? Should I just go aimlessly hang out in AK for the week before hoping they do a soft opening? :(

If you do you will definitely not be the only one. I've shown up twice randomly in the last week just to catch glimpses of their testing and both times ran into other local dis bloggers/social media people. And it's still a month away lol....:D

We did Blizzard Beach maybe 15 years ago, so this is a while lol but I remember absolutely loving it. We saw it on a Disney commercial or something and begged our parents to take us. We had a blast.

Good to know - they both sound great and we plan on trying to get to both, but just curious in case we run out of time and can only hit one!

Are you eating breakfast at Boma? If so, FRENCH TOAST BREAD PUDDING W/ PECAN PRALINE SAUCE. I am obsessed. :worship:

So much food, so little time!! We were going to do Boma dinner - should we switch?? so many decisions! I'm sitting her plotting how I can sneak away to Sanaa while everyone else is at the pool and have the bread service by myself! "Oh, don't worry about me, just going to go rest in the room...":rolleyes1

What?! I have not heard of this but it sounds incredible. What is it with bread pudding at Disney? I never used to even like it and first Ohana's and then recently tried the one at Raglan Road and that's amazing too. I'll add this one to my must try list. I swear you need a small fortune, a couple years of free time, and an incredible metabolism to try all the good food here.
