Rumored deals???

I want to know too. The disney website is still down. And someone said on here that their website may be slow to post new things. How would we find out except to call?

How would we find out except to call?

that is exactly what i am trying to figure out. a few posts up i was asking how they make big announcements.

i don't understand :confused3

and someone said a few days ago we could hear about it here on the disboards...but how would the disboard poster find out? :confused3

I always find out about deals on the Dis. not sure how they actually do thing offically. But alot of times All Ears will have it pretty fast too.

Just looked at the disney website and it is partially up. Looks like the new dining plans have some exclusions for our trip, Jan 16-23.

If you book the Magic Your Way Plus Dining:

This vacation package includes accommodations at a Disney Resort hotel and a Magic Your Way Base Ticket, as well as the Disney Dining Plan that can save you up to 30% on dining for stays from 1/3/2010 - 1/6/2010, 1/10/2010 - 1/14/2010, 1/18/2010 - 2/11/2010, 8/15/2010 - 9/30/2010, 11/28/2010 - 12/16/2010 . This plan offers one table-service meal, one quick-service meal and one snack per person, per night of your package stay, at over 100 select restaurants at Walt Disney World Resort—including some restaurants that feature Disney Character Dining

If you book the quick service dining there doesn't seem to be the black out dates:

This vacation package includes accommodations at a Disney Resort hotel and a Magic Your Way Base Ticket, as well as the Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan that can save you up to 20% on dining. Eat at select quick-service restaurants and receive 2 quick-service meals and 2 snacks per person per night of your package stay. You'll also receive a mug you can refill as often as you like at any quick-service restaurant at your Disney Resort hotel.

I really wanted the Disney Dining Plan but my sister-in-law whom I am traveling with prefers the quick service because the two nephews don't eat a lot. She is constantly dieting (and doing a good job at it I must say) so this is good for her too.

You still can't book a package deal just yet.

I'm confused by this, what deal is this, free dining?

I want to know this too, it sounds exciting. What is it? Actually that sounds like it is just the 2010 package, but not sure what's up with the blackout dates.

It doesn't look like a deal at all, but the regular price. Not sure whay it has dates listed with it.

Yeah, doesn't sound like a deal, sounds like the DDP, but now with blackout dates??? What in the WORLD!!! So wonder that this means, do we not have the option to buy into the DDP on the blackout dates? Oh, PLEASE great WDW Fairy GodMother....princess:

Doesn't the DDP increase in price during peak periods? Could this just mean that you save up to 30% on those particular dates but it is a lower saving during peak periods like Spring Break e.t.c?
That's kind of how I am interpreting it.

The rumor is that it will be a 4/3 deal and a 5/2 deal depending upon what type of resort! It also said that a dining deal maybe an option also! But, noT together.

As to how do your know about a deal?!? On the top of the main dis page they have an updated newsfeed on the top left corner! Other ways; it is rumored the deal will be released on Mon, Wed, or Thur you can check the WDW site for deals! BUT, I KNOW THAT WHEN IT IS RELEASED THE DISBOARDS WILL BE A HUMMING!

to the previous poster who has the 40% off the first part of her ressies and than the holiday portion...holidays are normally blocked out of any specials! as you have learned and just an FYI for you to watch for and figure it out....in May when our family went...we orginally had the 4/3 plan...than found out that the military special was 40% off the rooms...(if they do not include the tickets w/the special) if may be a better option to go with the room only discount. The CM who changed it for me was as surprised as me to figure out that the 40% discount was the better deal!

So, buyer be savvy!!!!!

To all fellow dissers:
Happy planning and patiently waiting....
:wave2:

That's my interpretation too.

I so hope the offer is extended for everyone to take advantage of it.
:goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes Sending out Good Vibes:goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

I do not understand why many feel the 4nights get 3 free is a terrific deal. Tickets after the third or fourth day cost very little for each additional day. Basically, you are getting three free nights. At a deluxe that adds up I understand. But for values and moderates this discount does not compare to free dining.

I just read on the rumor boards; a CM stopped by to say that something is expected on Oct 1st! So, that would put us back to Thursday to hear what is going to be released!

Where are you seeing this? When I go in, all I see is that you cannot book a package at this time. :confused3

I think that is why; (the rumor, anyway) is that guest will be given the choice of either...the seven deal or the dining plan! but, it is always advised by allears and others to do your homework and see what plan helps your situatuion :upsidedow

But, in the business world; a special makes people think they are getting something really special and the business is the one making out like a bandit

Some of us don't get the obsession over free dining either.

Not everyone going to WDW is a family of four that wants to stay at a value and be on the dining plan.

For a single or a couple who want to stay at a deluxe this is a much better deal than free dining.

It comes out to around 43% off. I consider that a good deal.

I originally booked with the bounce back. Last night I called and inquired about free dining. For some reason the CM was able to apply the room rate only code to a package with the room & dining (normal price) and it was cheaper than the Free dining package by approx. $108 dollars and some change. Which we both thought was interesting. Since it allowed him to book the trip with the room rate only code and adding dining we booked it. Must be a glitch in their system but either way it worked.
