Rumor: Construciton at HM?

No don't get me wrong classics should always be plussed this isn't plussing IMO.

The keywords are IMO...and that is wear Disney gets slammed each time. For every person that is indifferent or thinks it's a good idea, there are others that hate it.

Not to call you out, but you have an opinion about EPCOT and how it should evolve, but that opinion is is yours, others don't share the same opinion (ie. Disney characters in EPCOT) or are indifferent about it. So Disney has to make a choice. If they constantly listened to the negatives for everything they do, there would be ZERO innovation, ever, ZERO change besides repainting.

I am all for innovation but why is this needed? Spend the money on something that really needs it. HM is fine and it's wait us never long enough fir this.

And yes I still think the characters dumb down EC.

It's one thing to have rehabs scheduled in advance, and walls and scrims and construction as a result of that, but much of the latest announcements and "construction activity" is happening with no notice. Fine for most of the "hey it's going to be so much better" and "well, just wait till it's over and then go" crowds. And I noticed most of those in each of these camps don't currently have a trip planned, at least not soon. I am one of those for whom the 45 day package window has closed a couple weeks ago, and things springing up now with no notice affect me a little more, so that logic doesn't work for everyone. I'm all for improvement, I just wish with the exception of FLE it had been scheduled over a longer term.

I'm going in a month... and again in March. I'm in the "let's get it done" crowd.

Bottom line is there are still many, many areas that are not being impacted by the construction and the majority of the attractions remain open.

In fact, i'm taking my son for his first trip, the next one he will probably be much older. Hence the reason i wish not so much was going on at once, especially at MK and in the FL area. :goodvibes

I work in construction, and know it takes time to get any project completed. Customers are different...us being customers of Disney...want different things.
My customers either want it right now, watch the shows that get a house or project done in 30 mins(with commercials)and think thats reality! Or the realistic ones who understand to do a project right, it takes time. WDW is a constant project, Walt wanted it that way. He never wanted it to rest on its heels. It is a bummer for 1st time visitors, but us vets know something great will come from it. So who is right?:confused3 All of us and none of us, IMO.

Only sharing this as I understand we all have different perspectives, therefore we should respect that, and move on. Why blast one another when we all have the common love of WDW. Isnt that why we are here in the 1st place?

This post from Discussion Kingdom sums up my thoughts about this construction.

The problem, again, for me is that they bulldozed one of the most original and charming areas of the park.

There is nothing they can possibly put there that can recapture that.

Anyone who knows what makes Disneyland special, should know that this was a big mistake. That was one of our special areas. And they just kicked us in our special area. And it hurts. %#$&.

Your quote is not about any specific area, nor about this conversations topic. If I had to guess the quote is about the Eeyore Parking area that Indy was built on.

No it is about the grave yard being ripped out not sure how you can confuse it?

Look at the quote that you chose to copy it neither says grave or HM in it. It also refers to Disneyland.

Yea it makes the example that they don't get rid ofclassic things in DL but he is talking about the grave yard being special. If you still don't understand I can post the link to the thread.

Maybe you should of done that in the first place, or put a complete quote in your post, instead of a post with a worthlessn irrelevant quote.

So we think the headstones are all gone right? To be replaced by something interactive?
In memory lets post our favorite of the headstones...

Here lies dear old Fred
A great big rock fell on his head!

:)

So an opinion that is different than your own is worthless.

I don't think he said that at all, rather that the quote was not very relevant without additional detail that wasn't in the quoted item.

Everyone has a right to feel what they want about a change within the parks (or resorts, etc). But just to clarify, I think you yourself have been very defensive and pointed at times with changes to EPCOT and that some people don't mind them or want more of them.
