TA here .... emails are coming out for check in dates of June 7 - 13 today ........

I'm fully expecting an email today. I think it will still be helpful for us to collect data points today though. If we have a good idea of what happened and when, this week to week thing gets easier and people spend less time wondering on Thursday mornings. Yes we are expecting an announcement soon but I still feel like the week to week will go on. If not, it will be neat to look back on what happened in the future!

I'm just complaining for everyone in general, not me personally. I really doubt it will open by mid-June, I really just want to move on (for me and everyone). I have all but decided that I won't be going on June 16th. No way I want to be there a few days after opening (at least for a out-of-state multi-day vacation) with severe restrictions and modified experiences at the price I am booked at. (and this doesn't even take into account the worry that my family will have if we decide to travel during a pandemic (I am talking my extended family (parents, in-laws)). If I was local, I'd go in a heartbeat.

I am really just holding on to my vacation for no other reason but to see if Disney offers me some sort of "come back later" promotion.

At this point, it doesn't matter WHEN they open until we have more details on HOW they will open. I think a lot of people who have their hopes up for it being open by the time of their scheduled vacation may cancel anyway just due to how "not normal" Disney will inevitably have to be for a month or two after re-opening.

Yeah, I hear ya. My trip was supposed to be this week. Even when the initial shutdown happened, I still had hope that it would open back up and as each week after was cancelled was crossing my fingers my week would be the first when opened back up. The anticipation sucks, but these reopening plans will be nice as we'll have some sort of clarity come out from it.

Just got our (fully expected) cancellation e-mail for our trip starting June 12th. We had already moved on from it in our minds so it's not as big of a blow to my mental state as I would have thought a month ago. Now we can officially move on to playing the "Will our late August back-up trip be worth the money or wait until next year game," for the foreseeable future. Good luck to all those with reservations starting after June 13th!

There haven’t been any offers attached to these cancellation emails. Now, they may be keeping a master list in their servers of all the cancelled reservations and send out offers a couple of months from now, but if you are only holding out for an offer, it’s not going to come with the cancel email.

As for opening date, I’m still thinking Disney will be at least 2 weeks, if not a month, behind UO. Just too much to take into consideration with the vast layout of parks, resorts, and transportation. It would still utterly shock me if they open prior to 7/4.

I also imagine if it’s true the good neighbor hotels or whatever it’s called is going to give Disney $$$$$$ so their guests can also go to the park.

I don't know why not, they already pay for guest fastpass access. Disney doesn't give non-resort guests that perk for free.

Team members are required to wear a face covering in virtually every area of the park. Between rides and attractions, guests are recommended to wear face coverings. Due to safety constraints, face coverings are not permitted while in the water or on slides.
