Rumor about “modified experiences” when Disney reopens (read 1st post for potential modifications being considered)

I agree they could change; but I also agree that "the task force basically is Disney and Universal". I don't think they would have put this out there unless this is what they are planning. Unless they are "floating" these guidelines out there to see how people react.

Very likely. Kind of like what UO did recently with regards to annual pass holders.

Yea, dealbreaker for those who do not wake up early. I propose VQ shifts, morning, afternoon, and night shifts that you could join at different points in the day.
Ahh FP+ is already a Virtual Queue (VQ). Maybe just eliminate standby lines if 6ft spacing does not appear to work.

Don't confuse VQ with Boarding Groups (BG) for RoTR at HS, only BGs require you to be "in the park" to join a BG.

-“Bartenders to sanitize hands after making each drink order” seems like overkill. Physically I can’t imagine what my hands would be like with that much washing/hand sanitizer. Wash after touching used glass? Yes. After pouring a glass of wine? Overkill.

-where the heck are they getting all th sanitizer?

-50%/75%/full seems to coincide with FP availability we’ve been seeing on the theme park boards. Slim beg of June, better end of June, better again July.

(Unless bartender is a fancy word for soda machine operator I think we can consider the no booze on opening rumor dead...)

Unfortunately there is no way to know that Dave. We have never seen a VQ system at Disney World aside from BG and FPs so we do not know what they might or might not require.

Disney will have to have guest satisfaction measures in there somehow (like a requirement to be in that park to open the VQ system to you) to help full day guests still have a good experience vs local APs snatching up stuff because they can wait for hours virtually while they go about their lives at home.

I like it. I don’t have an issue with any of those precautions. The coffee maker thing is annoying but I’ll manage.
very bad as we need our jolt. I guess I could bring a few coffee in bottle, stick in fridge, heat in microwave?

Apparently these are basically the task forces suggestions which basically is disney and universal etc. The actual rules may still be much stricter (hopefully).
Or they might be looser. I sincerely doubt the actually rule makers in FL are going to take Task Force recommendations and make them more strict. Only implementing some of them wouldn’t surprise me.

My prediction after seeing these “guidelines” would be parks and resorts open sometime in June. Resort guests only through 8/31 one week before Labor Day. AP extended with the 9/1 “start” date. I’m probably 100% going to whiff on this but what the heck

There’s quite a few people (not saying OP is one of them) who want everything to be closed down until a vaccine is developed - which I personally think is unrealistic.
I do think those guidelines are too lax. I'm not saying keep it closed down til there is a vaccine but reopening should be slow and not rushed to get back to normal. Those guidelines scream to me is give the appearance things are safer but don't do more. I would be more on favor of the guidelines that were rumored by WDWpro.

This is going to be a tough one for us. We have an annual pass, and when it expires it will be probably 2-3 years before we're back. We went last August, I did a solo trip in December, and our last trip with the APs is planned to begin on July 19. I'd rather trade the remainder of my pass for a 7 day park hopper to visit next year (I know, that isn't on the current list of options - just wishing) than do my last trip for a few years potentially without fireworks, indoor shows, face character greetings, etc.

Booked a night at the Contemporary resort using the CM discount. My thought process is that they might not allow people visiting the resort if they are not actually staying there (just a thought) so I would like to see how the resort is actually operating and be able to live stream it all for everyone that can't come until later. Also the walkability to MK is a big plus.
If anyone wants to follow along I will live stream on my personal fb page, my name is Julie Rodriguez and my pic is myself with Jedi Mickey and R2MK, I use my fb only for fun Disney and Universal things

So the phase 1 & 2 for the theme parks is the same as the phase 1 & 2 for the whole state? So Wdw could open (if they choose) as soon as fl gov says phase 1 will begin?
I don't think so. He said we are already basically at Phase one in reopening. He will give the guidelines for the state in stores, restaurants, elective surgeries, parks, beaches, etc. I assume we will hear from each theme park on their own reopening procedures, but they will all be very similar

Some people are talking about making guests wear masks all day, but those things are hard to breathe in even for an hour or two (I'm thinking of the homemade ones, which are the only ones most people are able to get.) I can't even imagine having to wear one for 10+ hours, and little kids will never keep them on. They'll be flying off the fast rides right and left. Just not realistic.
Which makes me wonder if all employees must wear masks will be modified to employers must make masks available to all employees and certain employees (like in restaurants) must wear masks.
