Rumor about “modified experiences” when Disney reopens (read 1st post for potential modifications being considered)

Please don’t flame me if this is old news, I keep reasonably up to speed but not as closely as many here. I remember last month reading about how Disney had changed one of the app menu headers to say “My Queues” leading most to assume more virtual queues are coming.

I was just poking around the app and came across this screen, which was new to me. Is this new, or was that already a part of the “My Queues” update last month?

Again, apologies if old news.

new to me as well
one screen after when you press continue it only shows RotR but there's plenty of space for more attractions

Looks like a new screen and new language: “use this app to join a virtual queue for select experiences.” Consistent with the virtual queue rumor...

I wouldn’t necessarily assume that a ban on bars opening would equate to a ban on selling alcohol at restaurants. At least up here in Indiana, there is a distinction between the two.
Here too. Bars are closed but restaurants can actually serve cocktails to go.

Restaurants are closed in GA (or were they allowed to reopen today? I’ve lost count), and not only can you take cocktails to go, some restaurants have cocktail “kits” to make your drinks at home, and wines by the bottle, and even wine packages with 3-6 bottles. So, yeah, we’ve been doing just fine over here. And they have to, so much of the revenue comes from alcohol sales.

Same at Disney. When they reopen, they’ll definitely have alcohol. They even changed some of the menus slightly during the closure, and streamlined some of the alcohol offerings (for example, at HBD and HBD lounge). So, they are definitely thinking of alcohol profits when they reopen.

Do you have fastpasses scheduled for an upcoming trip? I’m not seeing that on my app.

To get to it, I clicked on the three lines on the bottom right, then Stars Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, then My Status and that’s where I got the pop up (I’m pretty sure). When I hit continue it then went on to screens I had seen before.

However I can’t get it to show up again, it was only that first time (glad I took that screen shot).

My app has been super glitchy over the last few days and I uninstalled/reinstalled either Saturday or Sunday, FWIW.

(But yes, I do have FPs scheduled as well)

OK, so I got to the same screen you had, and clicked continue and as @yulilin3 said, it only shows ROTR with plenty of space for there to be others, but also in the top right corner it has a blue link to "my queues". That brought me to a screen that says "it looks like you haven't joined an available boarding group yet." That just keeps looping back to the ROTR boarding group screen.

I got there the same way. I had to select join boarding group to see it.

Ahhh... they rolled this out to DL app shortly after closing in March... guess they’ll deploy the mystery tech in both parks!

I do have.a question about queues. Would those mean you can't even get onto walk-on attractions? Things like Peoplemover? Or the Carousel? You would have to get a queue for every single attraction? The thing that....confuses/concerns me about that is...will there be a maximum of queues per person/overlapping. With FP+, you get an hour slot, and you cannot overlap that slot with another FP. If they don't allow overlapping of queues, it would be a long day to get on very few attractions.

On top of that, think of all the criss-crossing across MK park that could come of it. I guess I struggle to know the logistics of how it would work.
