Heck, I've been spiking dole whips with rum since the 80's. . .
Someone owes me a finders fee or something!!

They should at least name it after you! The Dole Willy
Rum Buckets sound pretty darn good, but I'm a huge fan of Caipirinhas. With the Rio Olympics starting soon, it may be a good time to have a few!

I've always just thought of it as a type of rum made in Brazil, but I looked it up on Wikipedia just now, and it says:
"The major difference between cachaça and rum is that rum is usually made from molasses, a by-product from refineries that boil the cane juice to extract as much sugar crystal as possible, while cachaça is made from fresh sugarcane juice that is fermented and distilled."
Well, we can't just take Wikipedia's word for something as important as this. . .
Better get a half-gallon of each and conduct some research.
I've conducted some pretty solid research in this particular area. I can say with a high degree of certainty that both a tumbler of Caipirinha and one of Captain Morgan over ice are pretty darn good. The Caipirinha has a fresher taste, especially with the lime, but the Captain Morgan option is pretty nice if you are feeling too lazy to even muddle...

Okay I don't mean to divert a perfectly good rum thread but I just have to say... looking at that pic of Charlie I can totally see why countless women send him naughty love letters. He's a babe. That is all.

What's 'cachaca' JaxDad?
Any relation to rum?
