Woke up Thurs. morning full of energy and ready to really get into doing the parks. MIB was first on the list. Ds18 broke our last year's records by scoring 618,000. The other 3 of us hit the 400's regularly and I topped 500,000 one time. MIB and Spiderman remained the favorites. Believe it or not, we were in the parks 4 days before getting to try the Mummy. Wow! What a ride! We had to wait about 20 min. each time for this one, but it was worth it. This was the only ride besides MIB that they seemed to scan on a reg. basis. We usually rode MIB twice in a row before they would scan. Ds15 wouldn't do ET or BTTF last year....did them this year and couldn't believe he waited. Shrek got me again....just say I forgot a couple of details of that show. Also ds18 and I did Dr. Doom several times in a row. Really a strange feeling of weightlessness for a few! We opted not to do any water rides just yet. It was nice being there so long as to not feel like we had to rush to do everything......sampled lots of different foods along the way though
On Friday we took off to Boggy Creek for and airboat ride. We took a taxi and the driver was nice enough to just wait for our 30 min. ride. Saved him from driving all the way back to RPR w/o a fare too. The airboat ride was awesome! You have to wear earmuff things because it's really noisy but well worth it! We saw alligators, including a mama laying in the mud guarding her nest. Also beautiful marsh birds such as herons, egrets, and even a 30-yr old eagle's nest. Great fun! Did that in the late morning and rested for a while then hit the parks again. One more day of "family" time and then Ds18 has a friend flying in around midnight Sat. and staying until early Mon. morn. I had told him if he could get his plane fare together, we'd take care of the rest......................and he did.
