Ds18's friend arrived around midnight. His first reaction was "I just paid $38 for the taxi!!" Oops, forgot to clue him on taking a shuttle.....he was soooo worried about flying for the first time ever! He quickly got over that shock and took a look around the RPR entrance "wow, it's just like you said it was!" okay, so now he gets it! lol Anyway, I had picked up his room key that morning and signed him into our room. The person at the desk didn't understand that JB WAS his first name and ended up putting it as his last on the key.....so we obliged by calling him by last name for his short stay ;) He and my son were so wound w/anticipation that we ok'd them to go to City Walk for a while. I just told him to make a place on the floor (where I wouldn't get up and step on him) before they left. They were excited to go out and I was just as excited to finally go to sleep! What wonderful kids.....never heard them come back in the room. But the stories they told the next morning!! Evidently there was a bachelorette party going on and some kind of scavenger hunt for someone wearing boxers. Ds was volunteered to someone wearing a bridal veil by a partygoer. "He's young, but he'll do"....from the way it sounded, pretty sure ds and friend came back to RPR soon after with a new understanding of the nightclub atmosphere over there! They probably only got about 5 hours sleep by Sun. morn. but JB was flying back first thing Mon. so there was a lot to do. They hit the club lounge first......loved seeing JB's face "you mean I can have anything I want, as much as I want??" (note: JB only traveled down with $186 anf $38 had already gone to the taxi) He was like a little kid! Back to the room for a quick gathering of items being taken to the park and we were off. I had bought him a 1 day/2 park pass at RPR for $78....could've got it a few $$ cheaper over at the park w/AP but just wanted to get it done. All JB kept saying was "this is sooo cool" everytime we got in a short fotl. We found out it's possible to do both parks in one day if you really have to. We had dinner at Margarittaville...this time the volcano went off twice. JB kept looking at the menu while we were all saying what we would order....and it dawned on me...he probably didn't have enough $$ left after souveniers, snacks, etc plus $15 needed for shuttle home. As soon as I said we were treating for dinner he brightened and proceeded to order the ribs and a salad. MIB presented a picture opportunity the 2nd time through. DS insisted we go look where the pictures come up and there they were, sitting behind dh and I, ds15, ds18, and JB.....all posing w/shirts over heads. Ok, guys, enough of this ride...or I threatened to join in on the next pic. lol, boy did they move fast on to other things!! Seems like no time at all and it's Mon. morn. already. We had arranged for a Mears shuttle to pick up JB......the club lounge people even printed out his airline boarding pass. He must've thanked us a hundred times before he boarded the shuttle bus. Well now, I've still got 3 days of vacation to myself.............and no one else is expected!!!!!!!!!!

isn't it great to see someone else's reaction to the hotel for the first time- i really knew what to expect before i went the first time- due to all the research i did and pics i saw- but hubby and family were mighty impressed!!
