It’s probably so the princesses don’t get poked in the eye and parents like when kids eat something, rather than play with sword or wand whole time.

That wasn’t a problem pre-covid when they gave them to you when you were sat down.

The cynic in me thinks they do it this way now hoping people leave without taking any.

We were there in August. They had a basket at the exit with wands and swords in it and my son took a sword and he liked it but it seemed like kind of an afterthought.

This is how it was for us on our last visit, too.
