I just need to write this out since I need to wait until tomorrow to see how it turns out and I feel sick to my stomach.
On April 28 I booked a traditional room (buy 5 nights get a night free) for Oct 27th thru Nov.2nd thru Mousesavers it was immediately confirmed by email.
On May 18th I decided to add an additional nights stay. I spoke with reservations who said I must call the hotel directly and I did. I spoke with a wonderful woman named Mariah. On June 9th I emailed to confirm that the extra day was added and asked for an upgrade to a tower room.
On June 17th my CC was charged and on June 20th I received a confirmation email again from Mariah that said everything was taken care of.
Today...less than 5 days to go, I call again to confirm and NOPE...they have me as originally scheduled only 6 nights in a traditional room. They offered to add the day and upgrade today but said there was an additional charge..(wrong..because my first quote was for $560 with the upgrade I was charged $756). I declined all the changes offered and tomorrow I'll call to speak with Mariah.
So, now I'm all nervous...even though I have all the paper work, I still need to have this straightened out and it adds just one more level of stress to my week.

Ack!!!!! Best of luck in getting this resolved...and please keep us posted! There are a couple of us on here counting on the RP to be fantastic.

I called the hotel directly this morning and after asking for Mariah was transfered to their reservation dept and so I had to call back again. I finally got a hold of Mariah, who said she didn't understand how it had changed back again, but I was only charged for 6 nights...Check again I said, because I've paid for the extra night already....oh, yeah, you're right she says. Ok everything is good and ready to go: Fully prepaid*, tower room for 10/27-Nov 3rd. I asked for a managers name in case I show up on Saturday and it's still wrong, but she said the schedule wasn't out yet so she didn't have a name for me. I'm still awfully nervous..and I plan to call the front desk tonight to see what they say....It just starts things off on the wrong foot.:sad2:

*prepaid excluding the resort fee...which of course I knew.

PS..I have all the correspondence email saved and printed out.
 
Glad things seem to be working out. Keep those copies and take them with you. I hope your stay goes well. We will be there for 2 night in November. Please let us know how things go and how you like the hotel.

I faxed the hotel manager this morning hoping to bring the matter to his/her attention. I figured it couldn't hurt to make management aware before I encounter another problem. From everything I've read this hotel seems to care about customer satisfaction....I'm hoping so.

Good luck! I would recommend also calling again the day prior to your arrival, just to be absolutely certain they are on top of the situation.
I'm sure everything will work out fine and you'll have a great time!
 
This morning there was a confirmation email...a reminder from the hotel..but it had the wrong dates still...:scared1: , however, when I called reservations everything was in place- dates correct, room location correct, and they even had my request for a fridge and microwave noted!

ahhhh sigh.........

(I'll still bring all my paperwork)
 
I've had a similar problem with HRP, but it worked out just fine. Don't be nervous. They will honor the reservation.

This is a great hotel by the way. The location is nice, you can see the fireworks from the higher rooms on the resort side and the rooms are quite large. Enjoy. I've stayed there twice and was happy both times.
