so we can avoid the grocery stop from tiffany town car, is there a general store in royal pacific that has at least bread milk and juice for us to put in our collapesable cooler? 28 days and counting

In a word: No.

There are two shops where snacky things like chips and candy and soft drinks are for sale. I can't remember ever seeing milk there, though.

At any rate, there's nothing that could be describved as a general store.

No milk that I have seen down in the shop by the pool. The shop upstairs at the lobby level has even less. That is my one beef with the RPR to be honest. The shop should really have a better stock of basics that you may need.

Kelly, am definately getting your book once I hit US soil ;). I can't find it over here :(

We had the same complaint at HRH last year. I'm pleased to see (in Kelly's book might I add :p ) that RPR at least has quick breakfast options at Orchid Court Lounge. There's nothing like that at HRH. It was The Kitchen restaurant, or wait until you get to the parks. This was a problem for me, because I take meds. first thing in the morning, that require me to eat when taking them. We looked all over UO property and couldn't find any grocery items that I could keep in the room to eat with meds. I guess my DH will be making a quick run to the Orchid lounge while I'm getting ready. I'm glad we have that option. :Pinkbounc

Yep, Orchid Court Lounge does a nice quick breakfast set up.

I think at least at Citywalk, they should have a quick stop shop for things that you may need. I forgot my contact solution and was without a car, so it was quite a predicament. I think if they had a store somewhere on property, even if at Citywalk, it would really be helpful.

I don't think you can expect any changes.

These hotels were always positioned as more or less "luxury" resorts. When they first opened, there were some great deals to be had on rates, but I've noticed that, now that the hotels are established, the bargains are few and far between. The room rates have crept up to where they are pricing a lot of people out.

I think Loews would rather have guests who rely on room service for those early morning noshes. Of course, as prices go up, there will no doubt be more of us looking for ways to cut corners.

I'm heading for RPR in 10 days. Yikes!Back to work!!

The HRH store beside Emack and Bolio's now sells more convenience items and meals that you can pop in their microwave. They do sell milk and juice.

While at RPR I saw quite a few families get big cups of milk at the Islands later on in the evening. I even saw a few families have them fill up baby bottles and warm them up.

If you get the milk and cookies as your welcome gift. There is your milk for the next morning they give you almost a quart of milk to drink with the cookies but there is tons left over. Keep it on ice and you can have it in the morning.
