Very sad day. I had the pleasure of meeting him when I worked at GF in 2006 (guess what suite he booked...). He was a very humble and personable fellow and cared deeply about his family name and everything that the name was on!

I was also thinking the same thing about the month of December. Walt Disney's wife Lillian also died in December. 12/16/1997 December isn't a good month for the Disney family

I heard the sad news eariler it came as a complete shook I didn't even know he was ill. At least Roy is now reunite with his dad and uncle now in heaven , you will be missed Roy thanking you for keeping the magic alive

We also had the pleasure of making his acquaintance during a WDW vacation several years ago. He really did care about the quality of the Disney brand - something that was truly appreciated by we faithful Disney park and entertainment fans. My first thought when I heard the news was that the Disney company had lost their last earthly guardian angel. He will be missed. Condolences to the Disney family.
