Only the Weather Channel names a blizzard after a tropical fish!! Seriously, this storm had Snow White's name written all over it!! Stay safe and good luck digging out. Here's wishing you sunshine and slow melting!!!

Once I get my taxes back, I am paying off the cruise!!! Oh I can't wait...... I have 36 days before the window opens... I'm all aflutter!

Who HASN"T seen the adventure on the Carnival Toilet.. I mean Triumph??? I cruised on that ship a couple of times and I can't even imagine WHAT they went thru.

I haven't been on here in forever. I can't believe we are only 140-some days away from the cruise. I just took my DD and DS to WDW with my sister and cannot wait for July!!

No kidding, I am over winter. We are going to get hit with another storm tonight thru Friday and they can't pinpoint how many inches yet.
Then this weekend it's supposed to be in the 50's. Really winter????

So excited to say we're on your cruise ! Just checked the cruise port website and there's good news. The Disney Dream is the only ship in Nassau on the 29th. Usually there are 3 or 4 ships.
We are planning to go to Atlantis so not having tremendous crowds will be great!
Hoping to go to Palo for an anniversary dinner ( #37 )
Btw, if you're wanting to book Palo Brunch, call at midnight of your ressie day, it will book up quickly ! We have been many times and its wonderful !!
Also, don't miss the shows. Outstanding broadway style productions !
We have a Cat 9a Gty. Second dining seating, requested Mario as our server.
I don't know how to do spreadsheets, but if our DisGroup wants me to start an FE Group, I'd be happy to.

I am so sorry about the snow... Winter just keeps going. It's been way below normal temperatures here for a couple of weeks, but at least I haven't had to shovel anything!

On a happier note, I was in Costco tonight and they had women's bathing suits on sale for $20. I am ready for my day at Castaway Cay!!

Hope it warms up in Boston very soon!!!

MUST BRING :
Bonine, just in case the ship's rocky. Prob will be fine in July. It works great
Without drowsiness. Don't recommend the patch, side effects more
Likely.
Sunscreen, bring plenty, expensive on the ship
Sweater or light jacket for evenings
Travel Downey Wrinkle Reducer Spray, works great !
Travel size room freshner for bathroom
Dry erase board or post it notes to communicate w family and cabin steward
Tote Bag or beach bag to carry your stuff to the pool & beach
$1's for room service tipping. I keep a bunch in the desk drawer to have handy
2 bathing suits, even if you have a balcony they frown upon you leaving wet
Suits outside. Hard to dry overnight in bathroom
Suction cup hooks for hanging suits in bathroom
Camera !! They will take pictures with your camera at Character photo ops as well as the prof ones

DON'T NEED :

Hair dryer, good ones on the Dream & Fantasy
Beach Towels,
When you get off the ship in Nassau or Castaway Cay they'll hand
Each person 2; plenty of towels at pool
Walkie Talkies,
the Wave Phones work great & the Cast Members at the Kids Clubs will use them to communicate with you
Formal Clothes
unless you just want to dress up. There is no formal night on the Dream, just a "dress up" night. Optional. Exception would be Palos or Remys.
Remys is the most formal men must wear coat. , Palo for brunch is dressy casual, just no shorts. Palo Dinner , my dh wears nice dress shirt w no jacket and I wear a church dress.

Purse, no need to carry one on ship


MAY WANT TO BRING :

Clear shoe holder to hang in cabin to hold misc things. Many bring this but I don't need it since its just the 2 of us

Movie candy, expensive on ship

Liquor, wine or beer...DCL allows this, but MUST be in your carry-on

Individual Flavored Coffee Creamer...none on ship

Candy for Counselors in Kids Clubs & room steward ( I leave some on my pillow every morning )

Gina, great to see you on board. I don't know if DW or DD12 would be interested doing FE, mainly because our cruise is sandwiched in the middle of a 21 day trip, but I think it would be great if it happens. I spend way too much time on the Dis and nothing like a FE to get a cruise meet hopping!

Thanks!. It turned to ice last night so it was SO much fun driving home.
Ugh... last year at this time it was in the 70's....

Oh well...

Bathing suits... My poor fish white skin.... Our Target has had bathing suits since Christmas... and now it's all summer clothes.
My son has gone thru a gowth spurt and I went to look for a size bigger in pants... Well, it looks like he will be wearing capris until it warms up. There was nothing, PLUS I wanted to get a couple of pairs of khakis for the cruise.

My goal is to buy stuff as I see it and not wait until it goes on sale because it will be gone. By June/July I swear they start putting out Fall clothes....
