Plaid Sheep, Boo for the ice -- I'll drive in snow any day over ice. And, I love the picture of you sliding into the Target parking lot to look at bathing suits! It is crazy when the stores put stuff out. I'm also smiling about your son wearing capris...my son came out of his room over the weekend wearing a pair of pants that have gotten SO short so fast. I told him he was going to have to make the other ones he owns work because it's time to buy shorts soon. At least, I hope it's going to warm up soon! Spring is coming. The groundhog said so, right?

Gina, WOW -- Thank you SO much for that list. That is awesome!!! I'm ready to go pack today!! Except...I have this darn project at work that needs to be finished. Oh well....in the meantime, I'm going to print my new packing list. It won't be too much longer!!

Ha. I think I saw something on the news this morning that some lawyer is indicting the little rodent.

Anyway, they say we will have a couple of days off before the next snow! which will come I think on Monday or Tuesday.

At this rate, we will go from snow to mosquito season bypassing spring all together!

How many more days till we leave??

Are people thinking of what they want to sign up for???
I just have Remy right now.
This will be my kids first cruise ever and my parents first with DCL and with it being so short.. I rather just wing it....

Plaid Sheep -- Well, it looks like it's our turn with the snow. They are calling for 6-10 inches of snow Sunday! If we get more than 4", it will be the largest March snow in 101 years!!! Lucky us

My countdown app says it's 126 days until we leave.

We plan to sign up for Palo dinner but that's all. We're going to Atlantis on our own when in Nassau. Thought about trying to get a cabana on CC, but not sure it's worth the money.Our ressie night is this week ( platinum ).

It's so exciting to think people are signing up for things -- after all these months of reading and dreaming, it's almost here!!

Crazy weekend of record snowfall -- I posted a picture on Facebook yesterday of all the snow and wrote, "My backyard is full of too much spring!" I am ready for the real thing, for sure.

I'm willing to give the FE a try! Not quite sure what all I would have to do, but from the little I've read, it does sound like fun.

Doing the FE is a lot of fun ! I would be happy to organize it but can't do spread sheets . We have plenty of time. So we'll see if someone else wants to do it.
Some FE tips :
It's best to keep the group under 20 cabins. If more sign up , the list can be split. then there is a cut off date. this is important when making gifts.
You can choose to give 1 gift, either homemade or bought, to each cabin or give small gifts to each person in the cabin.There are lots of ideas on the DisBoards. Then once on board you can decide when to pass out the FE gifts.
Each cabin submits info : names, childrens' ages, cabin #, allergies.

I hope with Easter approaching you snow bunnies will see some warmer weather! In our military days we lived in Alaska and Wyoming. Did my share of shoveling

I think we are almost ready to book this cruise. We were going to go the next week, but DD has a softball tournament Aug 3-4. We are hoping to take my in-laws along who are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. This will also be our farewell trip for DH who will be headed to Afghanistan in September.

After we are booked, would love to do the FE again. We did it on our 4 night cruise on the Wonder and also our 7 night Western on the Magic. The kids loved it!

We will have two cabins. One for my in-laws and my DSs (14 and 11) and one for DH and I with our DD(17) and probably a friend of hers--so she doesn't have to hang out with her brothers!!

IndyMouseFan- I am new too- and just learning by trying to read up when I can In lots of pictures I saw these small pocket holders hanging by people's cruise doors. They call them fish extenders. I guess if you agree ahead of time, with your group of cruisers, you use those and bring little gifts to give while on the ship. You take down people's names and ages and then plan what you will bring and when you will deliver it to the doors. Not sure about doing it- but was open to what everyone else was doing that would be on our ship.

Are you still interested in joining the FE group ? Tons of fun ,and lots of ideas on the Disboard.
I'm going to keep a list of names, cabin #'s, names, kids ages but would love it if someone who knows how to do spreadsheets could take over. I guess we could just "wing it" w/o a spreadsheet ??

Got the pricing back from DU--exactly the same as Disney website, as expected--however with a $200 OBC per stateroom. Put the ticker in my siggie, just need to talk to the in-laws and make sure they're "on board" and make my deposit! Not really a fan of booking this close to cruise time since it has to be paid so quickly! Also, really hoping we hear definitively about fedearl furloughs before the PIF date! Think we could do it either way, but would be much happier if we don't have a 20% pay cut to worry about!!!

Thanks! Would be great to get my in-laws into the Match your Mate game. My FIL is not a fan of cruising but he will do anything for his grandchildren so I'm hoping they are enough pull to get him on the ship. And the fact that it is a 4 night with only one sea day will be better for him. He can't stand to be "caged" up. I'm sure everyone will see him walking the decks constantly! My MIL says she's ready so we just need to convince him over the weekend!

Unfortunately, NO! Still waiting on my FIL to give the okay. Their 50th anniversary party is in two weeks at our house. Hoping he is so blown away by the party that he agrees to the cruise as a thank-you!
