Me too. I read the comments on an article Chip & CO. posted on Facebook and geez...there are some hateful people out there. More than one person was saying they're cancelling their Disney trip.

All I could think was yay....less crowds!

I hope they keep their word. The less trash at WDW, the better.

Everyone is now talking about the fact that Rosanne was fired for her actions and all you keep stating is that you can separate the actor from the character. That's great!

uh ok Really I don't even see a point to you even commenting on my initial comment anyways. It's cool you don't share my opinion but neither am I quoting people saying "oh really you can't separate the actor from the character..ohhh why" which is what you're doing to me. The "whataboutism" gang condemning ABC for being "holier then now" are likely the same people who denounced Roseanne when she butchered the National Anthem 25+ years ago.

As for the suddenly jobless cast who willingly worked with a known psycho nut job.....thoughts and prayers.

The network did know and most of her fans did know. Her cast mates knew. That's why it was a bad move on the part of the network to resurrect the show in the first place. It gave a racist scumbag millions of dollars and a platform.

Sorry I haven't read all the recent cancellation posts which I definitely will here soon but my thought:

Instead of killing off Dan (back in the day) let's just kill off Roseanne and have the show go on..... I know I would probably watch!!!

Like when they killed off Valerie Harper from her sitcom, renamed the show and brought on Sandy Duncan? I think it was The Hogan Family or something?

It's really a sad thing that we all can't just condemn blatantly racist statements. The fact that some even feel the need to try to distract with whataboutisms is really pathetic. I hope someday soon we get to a place were we can all just condemn things like Rosanne's tweet and not base our argument on what where that person stands politically.

I do feel bad though for the child actors themselves. Their agents may have known but not the children themselves. It does however leave the door open I'm sure for other roles in the future. I do believe I read that Emma Kenney did request to leave the show prior to it being actually cancelled she was however an older child actor in relation to the others (17/18).

Sure, she's absolutely free to think, say or tweet whatever she likes, but not free from the consequences, like ABC firing her and society denouncing her.

I'm so glad to see she was shut down so quickly this time, it gives me hope for humanity.

This is from a few pages back BUT Joy Behar called Mike Pence and apologized for her comments. She also did it on air. If it was sincere or not, I don’t know, but she was encouraged to publicly apologize.

I have never been a fan of Rosanne but there was so much buzz about the show coming back that I watched the first episode. That was enough for me. I thought the show was being used to celebrate a point of view that I wanted nothing to do with.

With that being said, until this happened I was not aware of the truly disgusting things she has had a record of saying. I have now heard enough that I am disappointed that ABC or any network wanted to give her a platform. The shows title character mirrored her beliefs and by giving her air time on a “friendly” sitcom it made her sick views seem acceptable to people who follow her general message. She should never have been given a show.

And it isn't just the actors, there are plenty of people behind the scenes that are affected by the show being cancelled. Maybe they knew about her and didn't care or maybe they were just doing their job so they could pay their bills and feed their families.
But it is Hollywood, give it another 10 years she'll be back. Look at Mel Gibson he was nominated for an Oscar last year.

I find it funny that ABC is all holier then now when they have The ladies of The View saying worse then that daily. What Roseanne said was horrible and hurtful but ABC to pull the plug on the show is stupid when they leave the horrible comments on the The View up and going.

May I ask why you aren't providing specifics about what you are talking about?
