Me too. I read the comments on an article Chip & CO. posted on Facebook and geez...there are some hateful people out there. More than one person was saying they're cancelling their Disney trip.
All I could think was yay....less crowds!

If only they really meant it.

Not to defend Barr, as I find her comments way out of line, but for MSNBC to bring out Joy Reid to condemn Roseanne for making hurtful comments is pretty hypocritical.

Where I live, the vast majority of online commenters are outraged by ABC's decision.

I made the mistake of going to a certain news channel's facebook page. The hatred they are spewing against ABC and everyone/everything except Roseanne is mind numbing.

It's really a sad thing that we all can't just condemn blatantly racist statements. The fact that some even feel the need to try to distract with whataboutisms is really pathetic. I hope someday soon we get to a place were we can all just condemn things like Rosanne's tweet and not base our argument on what where that person stands politically.

Good riddance to rubbish. I do feel for the other actors on the show who now find themselves out of a job that they worked hard for. Who here would quit their job because of one idiot at their firm who was a racist blubbering fool? I've heard John Goodman speak out against Rosanne's nonsense in the past. Actors have to pay their mortgages and put food on the table just like everyone else. Too bad the brass didn't fire Rosanne, kill off her character (buh bye) and rename the show.

I find it funny that ABC is all holier then now when they have The ladies of The View saying worse then that daily. What Roseanne said was horrible and hurtful but ABC to pull the plug on the show is stupid when they leave the horrible comments on the The View up and going.

Are you making up stuff or can you back up these allegations against The View hosts? Even if what you are trying to imply is true, which I highly doubt, what does it have to do with Rosanne's racist rants?

What Roseanne said was RACIST.

You can't compare her RACIST comment to the comments on the View.

I don't condone what she said but I will miss the show. I very much enjoyed it. I can separate my personal feelings, as I believe I stated earlier on in the thread when some posters just wanted to talk about how they didn't like her, from a character on a show. I had no real issues with Roasanne the character and had looked forward to another season.

I forgot to comment when I watched an episode and I've got 2 recorded but seeing as this thread is just going to be centered around.....I'll just decline on commenting further.
