Can you get a side of yorkshire pudding at the Rose & Crown? I'd like to try the lunch salad, but I really want to try yorkshire pudding because it sounds so "british"

They are just like popovers, doughy bread. I don't see why you couldn't ask your server if they would sell Yorkshire pudding to go with the salad. They might look at you funny, because it's traditionally a "meat and potatoes" side, but I'd think they would accommodate you if they had any freshly baked.
Never heard of a yorkshire pudding described as 'doughy bread' LOL
They are made from a batter similar to pancake batter (crepe style not US style pancakes). They are then baked in the oven in a little very hot oil or fat.
Usually they are served with a roast dinner with gravy, although I also enjoy them as a dessert with butter and sugar![]()
Thank you! I decided to order a side of "bubble and squeak" instead. Just looking to try something British & traditional!!
