Hi:
Looking at both menus for fish and chips there is a big difference in price, rose and crown is 15.99 versus two pieces of fish and chips for less than 8.00, Anyone who has eaten at both places do you get the same size fish and chip order?

Also is there somewhere to sit and eat if you do the counterservice yorkshire fish and chips?

Deb.

As a UK lover of fish n chips I would avoid the place altogether! The food we had was disgusting, the chips were soggy and the fish would have been better suited on the end of a pencil (it was like rubber).

There are seats on a patio area next to the lake where you can sit to eat take out but it was frequented by birds who liked to sit on tables picking up bits. There was also little shade in this area.

I have never eaten in the Rose and Crown, DH doesn't much care for the menu, and after the yucky offerings wouldn't go back for fish n chips.

I know lots of ppl like them and maybe they were just having a bad day but we won't be going back.

We ate at the CS fish and chips place once this past Oct and the fish was fantastic, light and flaky with super crisp coating, not greasy. The fries were gross. We ate right behind the CS place overlooking the water, tables are very limited so most just sit on the curb or stand.

The fish & chips at Rose & Crown are not worth $15.99. It's one very large piece of overcooked fish sitting atop soggy french fries. I haven't tried the fish & chips from the CS, so can't compare. If you really want to try UK fish & chips, go with the cheaper CS version. That way if it's not so great, you won't have wasted so much money.

We got fish & chips from the walk-up stand (under $8) and they were FANTASTIC! So much so, that I made an ADR for Rose & Crown afterward - figuring if they were that good at the walk-up stand, they'd be even better inside. I was wrong! We all thought the $8 fish & chips was MUCH, MUCH better.

We would definitely go back. There are a few tables out front near the sidewalk and more tables to the right of the stand, near the water, to sit & eat at the walk-up counter.

I think you get the same size fish and fries, you just don't get peas with it (you do inside). There aren't many tables to eat at, so one of us finds a table first, then the other orders the food so we don't have to stand and eat. The birds never bother us unless somebody nearby starts feeding them. This is one of our favorite meals at Disney.
